It's like asking who would win, Thor or Mars or Hercules or Vishnu or Son Goku? Those are great questions for the stupid questions thread though! I feel like Thor vs. Mars is a fun one, but Vishnu has got to be an easy win over Goku? And while we’re doing Deadliest Warrior: Mythology edition, my friend and I were talking about War of the Four Horseman vs. Kratos. We defined the four horseman as the ones of Christianity and Kratos is obviously a bald angry bearded father with a raging stiffy for murdering gods. Anyone have thoughts on Kratos vs. War of the Four Horsemen of the Apocalypse?

A random google in german leads to this list from 2015 from some online portal where prisoners rate their prisons: Source (German) JVA Berlin-Moabit, Berlin Sterne: 1,9 JVA Bützow, Mecklenburg-Vorpommern Sterne: 1,9 JVA Hagen, Nordrhein-Westfalen Sterne: 2,1 JVA Vechta, Niedersachsen Sterne: 2,2 JVA Stuttgart-Stammheim, Baden-Württemberg Sterne: 2,2 JVA Bernau, Bayern Sterne: 2,2 JVA Untermaßfeld, Thüringen Sterne: 2,3 JVA Frankenthal, Rheinland-Pfalz Sterne: 2,4 JVA Rheinbach, Nordrhein-Westfalen Sterne: 2,7 JVA Butzbach, Hessen Sterne: 2,8 According to that probably not very representative list Berlin-Moabit is the worst prison in Germany.

I like Dark Kwark. Also thanks Sim. I was looking around and I knew they couldn't all be as nice as the stuff I was coming across. Still architecturally far better than in the US but while I couldn't find imgs of the cells themselves for most of those they looked like a typical (although old) US prison. Still digging into stuff like libraries, work programs, ect... but I was having a real pain finding the "bad stuff"and that source gave me some key phrases I could use.

If I cut and paste something, why can I continue to paste it? I didn't copy it. How do seeds know which way is up?

Seeds: Gravity probably. You don't have a problem figuring out where "up" is when you get up in the morning, even if you don't open your eyes immediately. Would be kind of interesting to see what seeds do in 0g, though. Does anyone have information on that? Anyone have thoughts on Kratos vs. War of the Four Horsemen of the Apocalypse? Imo Kratos has a much higher amount of achievements than killing a few angels and demons. He achieved godhood, died a few times and came back and killed a bunch of technically immortal beings. Every somewhat human guy really doesn't want to have to fight Kratos unless he can blow him up with a finger like Son Goku or break laws of physics like Dante. War is the cooler and less milked character though.

From what i remember, don't they just show up and then the world ends? That doesn't involve a lot of fighting. I am not even sure if they are the cause of the world ending, or just a symptom. If they are only riding around when the world happens to be ending, they are just a low-tech version of Mad Max.

They do come to take your life. Often through the dead of night. And either you ride with the Four Horsemen or choose your fate and die. -Source

However, i did a bit of googling by myself, and apparently they do something similar: "They were given power over a fourth of the earth to kill by sword, famine, and plague, and by the wild beasts of the earth." So, basically, assuming you are of earth, and depending on how that fourth is determined, you are either dead if you fight them (If they can just choose you as one of the fourth), have a 1/4 chance of dying and a 3/4th chance of winning (If the fourth is randomly chosen), or you have to wait it out and send wave after wave of your own men at them until they have reached their kill quota. Anyways, my money is on Kratos.

Anyways, my money is on Kratos. IIRC from The 4 horsemen are just more unique afaik and make a cool picture, so they get more often adopted than "the great beast of the sea". more heresy: (don't read if you believe that the bible is the word of god and are easily offended) + Show Spoiler + Also the way John writes stuff I'm pretty sure that he meant 1/4 in a geographical sense, 1/4 of the population is too abstract for somebody who introduces his chapter by opening 7 seals and sounding 7 trumpets and then pictures devastation from random newly introduced guys/monsters everywhere to the point where it's involuntarily funny. John was probably a forefather of Michael Bay and we all know that Bay would split the world in quarters since that's more graphic. If John knew explosions they'd be all over revelations. Also for clarification: I'm fairly positive Zambrah was referring to War from the darksiders trilogy.

Found this:http://theconversation.com/taking-plants-off-planet-how-do-they-grow-in-zero-gravity-45032 Apparently plants use a combination of gravity, light, and touching to find out which way they want to grow? Aaaah finally something I have semi expertise in that I can elaborate on. I do 't really know about the touching mechanisms but can explain the gravitatonal and light sensed mechanisms. In the root of the plant there are mystery granules (probably consisting of some kind of starchy granules, perhaps mixed with a metallic substance although I'm not sure on that) that are able to be pulled by gravity, so they always get pulled to the center of the earth. This sets in a whole cellular reorientation of the root system if it isn't the correct way down initially. Feeling gravity and growing to it is called gravitropism. Light is similar, and is called phototropism. Plants actually have a whole bunch of light receptors (molecules that can interpret a certain molecular/physical signal) that react on light. They use light to decide when to flower or when to sprout (plants have a circadan rhythm and can feel seasons, they germinate based on light/dark cycles as a parameter, next to soil nutrients, humidity and temperature), or, as it has been said, to orient themselves to light. Orienting to light is mostly done with receptors that react to blue light. Plants in the shade that require high quality light and seeds that develop underground have a way to sense less qualitative light because of more far right red being present than red in the spectral composition, which triggers an effect to try to make the stalk as long as possible and to put not alot of energy in leaves (which do the photosynthesis from high quality light) to escape these bad conditions. I think it's called shade avoidance syndrome. It's a way for plants to compete with one another!

I was warned that I might incurr import duties and tax and customs charges but never did. And I received it in about a month. Okay thanks; I'm sure a slow delivery rate affects the price too, as does size and weight of the package.
