Thanks to jingyung2 --
LoveTV's announcement effectively cancelled Season 3 as we know it. She apologized, says she's sorry for the absence, and that she's been busy. In Dec 2014, the sponsor already said they would not sponsor the Starleague, so they were looking for a different sponsor all this time, but were unable to find one.
Can't reveal sponsor name due to the contract. Wants to post contract details for all to see as evidence, but worried about legal ramifications and damage to the sponsor's reputation if more information is revealed.
So all the Season 3 announcements have been wipe from her board

+ Show Spoiler [Korean announcement] +안녕하세요 BJ사랑e입니다.

Well... I had the feeling this was too good even back then. I mean $50,000 prize for first place alone. o.o
It's a shame, it would have been nice to see another offline league (Could've filled the gap between KSL ending and SSL starting.
Also ooooh sponmatches!!! I've missed those!!!

Thanks for the info/news prech and jingyung2.
With this unfortunate news, LoveTV's credibility has most likely plummeted along with any high hopes of any possible big events related to BW from her....
So in terms of big picture and big BW scene as a whole, our best hope for BW leagues lies to Kongdoo, Sonic, OGN and technically left to two big leagues (plus the smaller events by other parties). Lukcily Kongdoo is owned by YellOw so support for BW will go on for a bit, same said with Sonic, let's hope Sonic lobbied OGN enough to supply BW for years to come.

I feel Sonic is almost at the level where he doesn't even need OGN anymore if they were to stop support. He's so huge now. I don't think he will ever let BW go either.

Can I ask how you feel he's near 'that' level? ^^ I feel slightly differently.

My opinion differs about Sonic in growth and his investment. Aside from BW we all know, Sonic also invested in LoL, SC2 and whatever else that's related to games or entertainment.
But at the end of the day, his company is a shoe company that's basically equivalent to Nike, Converse or any other shoe company. He's still just starting out with his business too, his company has at best hundreds of workers (compared to tens of thousands of employee in major shoe companies) and his company isn't a publicly traded stock corporation yet. Compared that to Samsung, SKT, KT, CJ (CJ owns movie industry, food, OGN, etc), Sonic's SBENU dwarf in that comparison since there's only one focus/department: shoes. But Korean corporations have/own multiple entities and spread its business to multiple sections.
So Sonic's business still has a long way to go and also has a limit to how much he can spend $$$ to invest for PR uses like BW. And because he only has few hundreds employees at most to manage his company, he can invest mostly however he want with little to no opposition. Once and if his business grows to the point there's stockholders and other investors to please to, they may advise Sonic to cut BW off completely someday...

I don't think sbenu is going public anytime soon. Also I would guess at least some, if not all, of the money Sonic spends on esports comes out of pocket.

Well man, why would he not? I mean he's already done so much for bw. And it's a logical choice as far as business growth is concerned.

There's nothing on her afreeca page yet, but the original LSL3 announcement disappeared, so I don't think it'll be exactly the LSL we were promised. Maybe it's a new sponsor? bonus legs. i think she aims to become the next-gen sorim nuna
