This list needs to be updated with Jaedongs 400 000$ of price money from BW! Jaedong is #3 highest earner overall, Flash is #2 and Fatal1ty (shooter god lolol) is #1. If Flash can edge out 8,2k more, he will be #1. Jaedong needs 10,2k more Holy. This means that if Jaedong gets 4th place or higher this weekend he becomes the highest earning player in the history of ESPORTS. What now MC fans? Bitch. Please.
Jaedong has made 444k in 6 years of pro-gaming. Mc has made 406k in 4 years. Per annum that is 74k for Jaedong and 101k for MC. "Bitch, please".
But yes, Fatal1ty´s position is in danger right now, Mvp and MC could overtake him with a win (MC would be 200$ short, if he gets second), Jaedong could do it with a top-4 finish.
In general, Starcraft 2 will be the first game to give out 9,5 million dollars after November (Blizzcon, HSC and Battlegrounds will push it over) and is on the best way to break the 10-mill milestone first.

By the way, there's a typo in the article. Taeja won Homestory Cup VII, not Homestory Cup VI. That was won by Snute.

Here's a number I'd like to see: How often is Aligulac correct in its predictions?

I wish more articles on TL were as good as this one.
Well done.

After this tournament, he will not only be the wealthiest player in actuality, but also in the official statistics.
So yeah, biatch, please be seated.

^ I would be surprised if that even makes 50% of JDs total earnings...

Yeah but we're talking about prize money here, not salary or team bonuses or whatever. Gotta be earned.
Unless you're saying that bw tournaments had secret prize pools? But that would ruin the point, cause then the tournament can just give it out to whoever, like to a famous player who doesn't do well but brings up the profile of the tournament. Nah, official prize money is what counts.

All-in-all as in with team-payment and commercials? Or are there any OSLs/MSL missing in esportsearnings? In the first case, Moon would probably laugh at both of us with his giant paychecks.

Criticise Blizzard all you want for WCS, lord knows it’s not perfect and has caused problems. But is there anyone out there who hasn’t been this excited for an SC2 event all year (that’s even going toe-to-toe with all the HotS launch hype and optimism it brought)? I do have to mention though a large part of this hype has been contributed by the writers, staff and community of team liquid. Give yourselves a pat on the back guys, four hours to go
*edit* I say a "large" part, I of course mean pretty much all of it.

I predict that all of them have a 100% chance of making it into the top 16. Suck it, Aligulac.

HOLY COW IM SO HYPED HYPED HYPED !!! ! ! ! ! ! !! !

Since we are already into prize-mathmatics, lets just summarize the guaranteed results of Blizzcon (everyone gets 5k): Jaedong will overtake Flash and become #2 prize-money earner of all time Polt will overtake 2 chinese Dota players and will go from place 23 to 21. If he makes top 4, he takes two more Dota-players and Bisu MMA will overtake 2 korean LoL-players as well as Stork and sAviOr HerO will climb from 47 to 42, while overtaking PartinG and NaDa Taeja will climb from 64 to 59 and overtakes Puma Naniwa will overtake OGRE1 (Halo-player) Bomber will overtake ForGG and Sky (WC3) aLive will overtake 4 Halo/Painkiller guys and Boxer
Everyone else is either not in the top-100 yet (Soulkey, Dear, Maru, duckdeok, sOs) or has to get deeper (Mvp)

[*]In his last 10 TvZs, Mvp has gone 10-0.
Just make sure you all remember this. This is the King's weekend. Just gotta believe.
