Not really, because all pro players and tournaments should switch to HotS ASAP.

I think hots is the natural next step so I will go ahead and support it. I never liked to split my attention to different variants of the same thing so yeah no more wol for me.

YES. it's not feasible for all WOL pros to switch to HOTS immediately, it will take time just like going from BW to WOL. I will stay with WoL as long as i can because the Kespa pros are probably gonna keep playing WoL in proleague for at least a little while, and i will always follow the korean homeland :D

WOL is in the best shape it has ever been I can't help but notice your list of players "fighting" is all zerg ;P Best shape the competitive scene's ever been in indeed.

I've been bored with watching WoL for the past two months already so I won't be watching any WoL until HotS comes out.

No. I've had enough of zerg.

"it will take time just like going BW to WOL"
I don't think so. That was a transition between two completely different games, while this is a transition just between expansions. For one thing, Korean pros who are strictly in Korea will switch to HOTS because GSL (And OSL, I believe) will switch to HOTS, and if it was hard trying to get your name out there with mediocre results in the league everybody watches, imagine trying to get your name out there with mediocre results in a randomy undergrouns WOL league nobody watches.
Most foreigners are also making the transition to HOTS. I don't honestly see any reasons to stay in WOL for any pro. The money is in HOTS. New gameplay is in HOTS. The audience is in HOTS. End of story.

Bad question will get bad responses...ofc people will move on to HOTS, but what i'm guessing this is directed at is the tournaments directly after release (IPL6, etc.), if so then it's just a bad question...should be a question of when, not if

Going with "not sure". HotS might have issues with strategies being too powerful in the beginning and with WoL being so figured out and played at a very high level already, it might be worthy of supporting an intermediate post-HotSrelease WoL scene. SC1 stayed around for a long time. While WoL and HotS are based on the same core, WoL might do the same regardless I think.
|
Voted not sure because after march there will be no more wol tournaments(after ipl) but I might still watch if my favourite players play. In my opinion HotS will be much more exciting and fresh than WoL so the latter will disappear.
|
hots will be much worse. deal with it
|
I might watch a few, but my main focus is for sure HotS. I really hope HotS release will be like BW and make SC2 a completely different, and better game.
|
Not at all. IPL 6 then ill be done watching WoL. Time to move on
|
The metagame for WoL has stagnated to a point where it is no longer nearly as entertaining for me as it was a year ago.
TvT and TvZ remain fun match ups to watch, and the odd TvP can be really fun as well but the other match ups are absolute shadows of their former selves. (Except PvP which is about as fun as its always been... which isn't a good thing for me.)
HoTS provides the shake up that's badly needed, already it looks promising and it's not even out of beta yet and the metagame is still in its infancy. I look forward to seeing where it takes us. Once the current season of GSL ends HOTS will be my only focus and WoL can retire with honor.

I wish it would be more leading with a yes.
Instead of the period of wierd builds, ''broken'' game/builds. I want the best, not still testing period

Hots seems like a glorifed SCBW to me.. it seems to childish for some reason.......... If WOL tourneys are still going on, I'll still watch them
|
Given it's not played by amateurs, sure.

WoL will officially end once the first HotS tournament begins.

Why? That's like asking Blizzard to continue patching Starcraft 1 after Brood War? (I don't believe they did?)

dont think ill be interested in sc2 at all! hots doesnt have a quarter of the pull that wol had when it was released.
