What? Then no white guy will ever get fans / support lol.
I'm not a Naniwa fan but I thought this was kind of silly. I personally think he'll make Ro4.

I truthfully he could be the champion. He has the drive to be the best, and from his interviews you can tell that winning is the only thing that he will accept.

Naniwa's a kong. He got 2nd place in MLG Providence, The Road to Korea, TSL3, Battle.net European Invitational, HSC2 and HSC3.
I think if he and MarineKing were to meet in a final (which now won't happen due to seeding), it would cause an implosion so large that the GOM studio would be engulfed in a black hole, within a day the the whole of South Korea and eventually the whole world.
But in all seriousness, it depends on who NaNi meets in Ro4. I am confident he can take down Mvp as Protoss seem somewhat favoured in PvT at the moment, even something strong TvPers like Polt are slowly starting to admit. It depends on Mvp's wrist strength and what NaNi has planned in order to combat him.
As for Ro4 opponents?
Terran wise: TaeJa and MarineKing are major threats, especially since MarineKong has an ultra aggressive TvP style that has worked wonders for him so far. TheStC isn't such a menace and Parting could be a threat although his PvP is mixed.
Anyway, I voted runner up because I think Leenock, Squirtle, MC or HerO could eliminate him in a PvZ/PvP finals However, MC hasn't exactly had a brilliant track record against foeigners in PvP. He's been schooled by HuK and NaNiwa a few times before.
Ideally, I want NaNi to take a GSL.

I have faith, im going with either champ or runner up. Good luck Naniwa

If Marineking gets second in his group; I think he has great chances of making it to the finals. However, if he ends up against Marineking, I think he'd be out of luck.

CHAMPION! NaNiwa fightin'

Hard call, but I'll go with Ro4. Definitely think he can take MVP, but then I think he will face MKP in the semifinals and unless he can prepare something specifically for MKPs aggressive TvP, it will probably be too hard of a nut to crack. But honestly and realistically, from how it has looked so far, he has a good chance at going, well, all the way. Here's hoping.

If MVP plays like he did vs Leenock then I don't see Naniwa beating him. But MVP said himself that his wrists were killing him afterwards so Nani might still have a chance. I'm certainly giving him a 50:50 against MVP.

Ro8 or ro4. Mvp isn't known for his TvP, he has wrists problems and TvP is very hard for the T in the current metagame/GSL mappool, however it's freakin' Mvp : he has time to rest & prepare, come up with builds, he won't lose his composure and it's very very hard to stop Mvp when he is able to prepare. Therefore I give NaNiwa a 50% chance to beat him.
If he manages to beat Mvp, I think I read somewhere that he might be against MarineKing. That's where his run will end, it's MarineKing.

hmm, i think he will face MKP in Ro4 and i dont think he can beat MKP at the moment.
|
I see no reason he can't go all the way. If you look at who he has beaten now and how convincingly he has gone through the groupstages. I'm more afraid he wont beat HerO than that he won't beat the likes of MKP or Mvp

Several weeks from now, Grrrr... will smile upon a Swedish champion.
|
I'd say he has about 50% chance to win each series (Except vs MKP, then 35-40%).
Top 8: 50% Top 4: 25% Top 2: 12.5% Top 1: 12.5%
|
Well, he should take out MVP without too much trouble... i say he will not lose to a Terran, not even to MKP. The only one who can stop Naniwa now is HerO :X. And i'm not even trollin .
|
Naniwa has everything to win the GSL. He's very solid all around and has a lot of tricks down his sleeves, ready to pull at any time. Also, I hear Toss is pretty good these days.
|
I think Naniwa can beat any of the remaining players except for MKP. Of course he can lose to anyone of them as well so who knows...
Realistically (and slightly optimistically) he'll beat Parting in the semis and then lose to MKP in the final.
