Triumphant Trio.....

Interview with Hiya

Hiya, "I plan on moving forward with the mindset that I will definitely win"
"If we just win once more 3:0, we will break even"

With two straight wins, you secured the team's spot as number one.
- Last time when I was interviewed because we lost 4 times 3:0, since we had won twice, I said if we won 2 more times 3:0 that we would feel better. Now, if we just win one more time 3:0, we’ll feel good and we’ll break even.

In a management battle you won triumphantly.
- I didn’t know that ClouD hyung would play that safely. I thought he would play a bit more boldly so early in the game I tried to apply some pressure but I wasn’t able to do so well. Afterwards with 3 tanks I harassed his nat and the fact that I was able to do some damage there proved to be very effective.

When did you feel that you had won?
- Once I gained control of the center, I didn’t think I would lose. Although my opponent did get wraiths faster than I expected, I thought if I just blocked them well I would win.

You’re now standing on 30 wins in this season.
- This season my first goal was 30 wins. Even up until the 2nd round I was worried about whether I could achieve this but because I did well in the Winners League I believe I was able to reach my goal. In the remaining games in the future, I plan on working hard with the mindset that I will definitely win.

For seven games straight the result has been 3:0 victories - how long do you think this will continue on?
- For some reason I believe this will stop in the next match (laughs). Because we must win 3:0 one more time, for now I want to win the next match 3:0 as well.

Any special last words you want to say?
- I want to say happy birthday to BackHo and congratulate the coach on 100 wins.

Original Korean Interview:
+ Show Spoiler +

Interview with Jaedong

Jaedong, "I want to show an undefeated Jaedong again"
"I'm very happy we achieved a clean victory"

With two straight wins, you secured the team's spot as number one.
- First of all, because the team was able to win cleanly 3:0, I’m very happy. Although I’m happy, right now I don’t want to enjoy this too much. My slump in April was extremely painful and there’s still a long way to go before I redeem myself from that slump. In the future with the remaining proleague and the individual leagues, I want to play even better in high spirits. I want to once again show an undefeated Jaedong.

With your 9 pool, you beat a 12 pool.
- I think luck was on my side. I wasn’t lucky in initial scouting, but I think Oversky misunderstood things. I think seeing my base first just made him think too much. I think that’s why he wasn’t able to manage the rest of the game properly.

After Flash and Bisu, you’re the third to record 40 wins.
- Although I’ve been slumping recently, I want to give myself some points for following them steadily. However, the 4th round is almost over and because there is still the 5th round, I don’t think I should be satisfied right now. I need to continue to motivate myself and it is important that I discipline myself so that I will be able to be the top player.

You’re on a winning streak in May.
- I really think it’s ironic (laughs). Only the months have changed from April to May but when looking at stats alone it really is interesting and I don’t think I can say it’s not a jinx. After I slumped in April, I did promise myself I would do better in May. I think it’s because of that I was able to win consecutively and in the future I believe I must do even better.

Next time you’re playing Hyun on God’s Garden.
- Although I won today, I’m going to empty my mind and plan on preparing like it’s my first match. Because our team has high spirits right now, in the match against MBC Game, I must win the first set so that we can win 3:0 again.

Last words you want to say?
- Through our victory today, our coach achieved 100 wins so I want to congratulate him, and personally I found out I have 5 more wins until I achieve 100 wins as well. Although it’s not that important, I also want to achieve 100 wins quickly. Along with achieving most individual wins, I want to accomplish 100 wins in the proleague soon.
Today was Backho’s birthday. It would’ve been nice if he could celebrate his birthday by earning a victory today, and although it’s disappointing he didn’t get to play today, I want to tell him happy birthday.

Original Korean Interview:
+ Show Spoiler +

Interview with Lomo

Lomo, "I will make sure we can continue to win consecutively"
"I feel the team has matured a lot compared to the past"

With two straight wins, you secured the team's spot as number one.
- The team won, and I also won today so I’m very happy. I think we lost focus for a bit and in doing so, lost 3 straight times. After those losses we’ve gained a new heart, and as we’ve fixed our mistakes I believe the team has matured a lot. Although we’re only on a 2 win streak, I will make sure we can continue to win consecutively.

You won with one timing rush.
- As I practiced, I prepared so that I would finish the game at once. However, because my opponent had fast mutalisks I was in danger for a bit, but I was able to defend well. Afterwards once I scanned his base I knew I would be able to win.

Did you expect your opponent to go for fast guardians?
- I was 100% sure. On Outsider, zergs often play by producing guardians and ultralisks. Also, in the OSL prelims I watched GoRush play and he also used guardians then. I prepared with the thought that he would definitely go for guardians.

It’s turning out to be 7 games of 3:0 victories.
- For some odd reason I feel like 3:0 victories will continue coming out until the 4th round ends. When we won two straight games 3:0, as a joke we all said the remaining games would end 3:0 but it really is turning out that way.

You have 9 wins this season – are you satisfied with your current record?
- I was slumping for a while and even lately I’m not doing so great so I haven’t been satisfied with my results. I started the season off well but then fell into a slump, so for the remaining matches I want to do well and attain good results. For now, I just want to win whenever I’m sent out, and later I want to be sent out in an Ace match and achieve 2 wins in a day. In the future my goal is to get at least 10 wins.

Last words you want to say?
- One of my closest friends is going to enlist in the army in a few days. I hope that he will be able to be safe and healthy until he returns. Also, today our coach achieved 100 wins so I want to congratulate him, and I also want to say happy birthday to Backho.

Original Korean Interview
+ Show Spoiler +

Hah - the coach has 100 wins while Jaedong has 95...I wonder how many of the former's wins were linked to the latter's wins.

I must say, I find the whole thing about Jaedong slumping to be pretty funny. Here's his stats by month for the past year (including today)

Jaedong's Monthly Stats:

June: 3-2
July: 11-4
August: 11-1
September: 2-1
October: 6-5
November: 8-4
December: 7-3
January: 10-4
February: 16-7
March: 16-4
April: 8-7
May: 2-0

He hasn't lost more games than he's won in a month since last April, and when he goes 8-7 he's 'in a huge slump'. Ridiculous expectations imo

My slump in April was extremely painful and there’s still a long way to go before I redeem myself from that slump
