So you are probably lynched because:
a) Shallow is lying and thus is mafia himself
b) you are mafia
c) you behave stupid or you just want to spoil the game
So at least one of you two is mafia, or one of you is stupid/spoiler.

And in this variant of the game it's in the towns interest do kill much and kill early, as this reduces the number of mafiakills. So using some doublekills early even if you have no proof is probably advisable.
