[G] How to use the newest Hamachi version with BW

Avius Iraq1796 Posts January 20 2008 21:02 GMT #1 Hey everyone, I hereby present you a guide on how to use the newest Hamachi version with Broodwar. This is without 3rd party programs and forceIPbind or whatever it's called. The O/S I use is Windows XP, so I don't really know if this solution is useable for Vista users. And by the way, I don't really know the exact English words for the stuff you have to click on, but it should be the same position as the marked ones in my screenshots anyways. You will get the gist of it, hopefully. Anyways, here goes: "Start" >> rightclick on "Network" >> "Properties" You should see a window like this now; click on "Advanced" >> "Advanced Options" Basically you should see something like this: Now you just need to click on "Hamachi" and the arrow pointing up and promoting Hamachi, this means that Hamachi IPs have a higher priority. This is needed for old games such as Broodwar to realize not to check your internet IP rather than your Hamachi IP. It should look like this in the end: I just realized that the pictures aren't that clear, but the most important parts are highlighted, so you should get the idea of how to configure it. I hope this guide helped you in using the newest Hamachi with Windows XP without using 3rd party programs. There are no side effects to this. Your internet experience will stay the same! Have fun

Darkmole United States900 Posts January 21 2008 02:43 GMT #8 this is a lil bit confuzing to me T.T cuz when i click start doesnt show the way like yours mine is a long bar and the pic is too small for me and it confuzes me cuz its hard to read for me T.T but my biggest problem is the start bar is just long....
