That being said there are some pretty good anime about high school kids. Like the Melancholy of haruhi suzumiya, Toradora!, Angel Beats! etc. | ||

I have only watched two mecha anime, Accel World and Eureka Seven. Both were pretty good. I only started watching anime in May though so i'm a noobie. Not a huge fan of the mecha concept overall either. | ||
