Like everyone who have been paying attention to this site's happenings lately knows, the finalists were our own beloved Liquid`Nazgul and our own (moderator) however not quite as loved rekrul. rek had been surfing through the tourney so far, winning every series of games he played, while nazgul had previously lost against hellghost, which meant rekrul had a 1 game advantage.
Their first game was a pvp played on plains to hill, naz got a large advantage early on by playing smarter, however rekrul countered with one superhero dark templar which changed everything around. So, rekrul won, making him take a 2-0 lead.
The second game would be played on neo forbidden zone, rekrul going random (and getting terran) and nazgul picking toss like always. This time rek got a huge advantage early on, however nazgul made a good comeback and eventually ended up winning!
2-1!
After this they played another pvp, this time on forbidden zone. nazgul won, rather cool game.
2-2!
The fourth game they played and the fifth game in the series was another pvp, this time on gaema gowon (OOPS). rek tried mixing both templars and reavers with his zealots, while nazgul only made dragoons and observers. His strat proved to superior, and he won.
3-2!
Naz had turned 0-2 into 3-2, and rek must have been feeling the heat. In the next game, a pvp on forbidden he wins, however this time nazgul was the one trying out reavers and templars, but basic units win again.
3-3!
The grand final of the finals was going to be played on plains to hill, this time rekrul randomed again, however got protoss, so everything was set for a good game. In all the other games, they had been playing pretty low probe low exp high unit kind of games, in this game naz took command by expanding early, and a lot. Eventually he switched to mass carrier. rekrul went mass carrier too, however slightly less mass, so eventually, after 30 minutes, victor was victorious.
4-3 in nazguls favour! this means he gets all the earlier mentioned money ($200), the fame and glory is assured due to this report, and considering he's dutch he shouldn't have any problems with finding hot chicks now that he has $200 to spend!
The games were overall good however none were truly great, I'd say they're all worth watching with perhaps one exception, however I won't tell you guys what game apart from my gamereports, so you gotta download them all.
