I realize some of this stuff has already been translated. But as a semi-pro translator in real life, I believe that it's better for someone to do a direct translation from Korean to English, instead of Korean -> Chinese -> English.
That said, thanks to our Chinese friends for being so swift.
Nehoo,
(all of this is from fighterforum.com. That being said, I still hope their community goes 0-5 this week)
Savior - Ma Jae-Yoon
-You dominated Boxer, 3-0.
▶I did not perdict that score. I had thought it would be 3-2. Every game I was lucky in terms of build order. The games came easy to me from the early stages. I wanted to play more, but it was over within three games, so I'm a little bummed. Being the winner of the first ever superfight is a good memory that I will keep forever.
-How did you prepare for your first ever matchup against Boxer. [note: I think they mean Best of- matchup. Savior and Boxer were 1-0 before, met at MSL Survivor]
▶I thought that Boxer would prepare some unpredictable strategy. I put a lot of emphasis in early game strategy when I practiced. That helped me, especially when I found his proxy factory.
-iloveoov might step up to avenge Boxer.
▶iloveoov is a very good Zerg killer. I would need a lot of practice. I can't say anything immediately. I think I'd have to prepare for it when it happens. I'll prepare the best strategies for the occasion.
-During your entrance on the crane, you seemed to be overwhelmed.
▶Boxer is the player who I always wanted to face in a finals. It doesn't even have to be a finals - of all the players I wanted to meet at the moment, Boxer is without a doubt the first. It was exciting to face him on a stage like this, especially with so many people. I was breathing deeply to calm myself.
-What were you thinking as you were up 2-0, preparing for the last game.
▶For a moment, I thought I could win 3-0 if I played well. But once I was inside the booth all I thought about was Longinus. I put a lot of importance into the Superfight - I wasn't thinking of anything else. I wanted to win this more than a final.
-The Superfight was organized by CJ Media.
▶I practiced real hard, not thinking anything of my company. I was only concerned in showing all that I had prepared. I wanted to show the best play, regardless of my affiliation.
-A word to Boxer.
▶I want to thank him for saying good words about me. I will work hard to become even better, so I hope he is watching from the air force. I want to thank him for paving the wide road that let me be where I am today. I am so thankful that the "Emperor" called me the best current Zerg. I will be that best Zerg until the day Boxer comes back.
Boxer - Lim Yo-Hwan
-It was your last official match before enrollment.
▶Throughout all the StarCraft tournaments, I don't think I've had as much fun as I did today. I got to see a lot of familiar faces. The player's entrances were also very unique. This is the first match I played in front of a large indoor crowd since EVER 2004 OSL.
-What are your impressions of the games.
▶I am quite satisfied at getting to play against the two players whom I really wanted to face. Each player made it very exciting for me, even losing 3-0 was enjoyable. Although I played eight games, I wanted to play the whole ten. I had spent a lot of time preparing strategies for games 4 and 5 with Savior, and I'm dissapoint for not having a chance to show them.
-Are you satisfied with your play today.
▶I played eight games today, and my strategies didn't work a single game. I thought to myself, "I guess there are days when nothing works." At the last game with Yellow, game 5, I didn't use the strategy I had prepared. I just used the strategy I wanted to use. The strategies I planned for games 4 and 5 with Savior I will teach to my teammates. They're too good to just stay buried.
-Your bunker rush, as expected, made a few appearances today.
▶Well to be honest all the bunker rushes I attempted today failed to really work. I think that basic TvZ strategy begins with bunker rushing. These days, it's hard to beat Zergs without bunkering. I recently bunker rushed Aqua and Silver too. Honestly, I thought I would be criticized after bunkering Silver, but the fans actually liked that I won after a long bad streak. I think I had over-used the bunker rush and angered some people (laughs).
-What do you think of the SuperFight.
▶This format is good for both the players and fans. The fans get to enjoy the matchups that they want to see. I think it's very good that the SuperFight will continue. It was meaningful and lasting that many people came. I don't think that today was a farewell match. It was, however, my last matches before enrolling, so I practiced hard because I very much wanted to win. I lost to Savior 0-3, but I did beat Yellow after a hard-faught 3-2. I want my fans to remember that. Today was not a stage for parting, it was merely a stage to promise to meet again. I will continue to do my best, as always.
-How are you going to use your winnings?
▶I will use it to thank all the people who gave me encouragement and confidence while I was slumping, and also for those who gave me strenght throughout my career. There are a number of people I will use my prize money fore. In particular, I think I owe Yellow a really nice dinner (laughs)
-What were the best and most dissapointing moments of your career?
▶The most memorable moment would be winning WCG 2002. This moment feels similar to then. On the other hand, losing to oov [note: 2004 EVER OSL finals] was the most dissapointing. I couldn't accept the way I played that day, so I was angry at myself.
-There's a lot of talk about your successor. What do you think.
▶I think anybody can become the "post-Boxer," as long as they do not simply follow the current trends, take advantage of their own strengths, and develop their own color of play to show the fans.
-Do you have any words for Savior, who beat you 3-0
▶I think that Savior is the best Zerg today. Most other progamers awknowledge it as well. I think that it's important for him to develop various different styles of play. Without the ability to adapt to different styles, players sometimes crash and slump.
-What are your plans after enrollment. Would you be able to appear in professional leagues.
▶It's unclear right now. I will simply do my best. I'm sure that as long as I work hard, opportunities will arise. Being in the air force will be another opportunity for me. In the army, I can't do all the other things I wanted to do as a civilian. So I can actually focus on a few things better. I want to prove that the army is where progamers can learn new things, not where progamers end their careers.
Thoughts from other progamers who were in attendance
▶Nal_Ra(KTF)= It looks like CJ did a lot of preparation. Also, they picked matchups with a lot of background story, so it feels a quite different from other league finals or event matches. I'm not satisfied to just sit in the audience. I hope they call me next time. I will create fun games.
▶GoRush(SKT)= They did a lot of new and interesting things with stage design and entrance scenes. The commentating crew was also a new combination, and I thought it was fun. I want to play too. Watching Boxer prepare, I wondered who I would face. Probably Nal_Ra or Nada. I think the fans would enjoy such a matchup.
▶Xellos(CJ)= We've come a long way since the Olympus OSL finals. [note: CJ Media stole a bit of experienced producers from OGN] I feel that all that know-how was reflected in the proceedings and the stage design. I want to be playing in the next SuperFight. It's organized by CJ Media, right? I want to play as a CJ player and win.
▶Chojja(KTF)= The hard work of the players could be seen behind the fancy stage. To the players, it's the same as any other match. I do think that CJ prepared hard to showcase a big event. I don't know if I will be participating, but I will do my best until I get the chance.
▶Anytime(Lecaf)= I didn't know it would be this big of a stage. I trust that all the fans had a good time, because the games were fun to watch. I will get a good result in the current OSL so I can play in the second SuperFight.
▶Silver(팬택)= The grand stage and side performances were befitting such a big event. Savior's strikes were excellent. I want to do well in both the ProLeague and individual leagues so I can someday be on that stage.
▶Tester(eNature)= It was good to experience such a big event as the SuperFight. There were no Protosses this time. I will work hard and improve so I can be the first Protoss in the SuperFight.
▶Jaedong(Lecaf)= Savior, who I admire, won today. I learned a lot just by watching from the audience. Right now, I have so much to learn, but I will work hard so I can be on that stage some day. Watch me as I go.
Before anybody asks, Yellow was not interviewed, as he did not win. It hurts to type these words.
(I'll translate some more stuff later. Just when I think I'm done with TLnet, it brings me right back in)
