Tileä " Tilea" Flavall, the 18 year old Terran/Zerg player from New Zealand (but residing in the US) has announced her retirement from Heart of the Swarm. Tilea as currently playing for Denial eSports, who recently had another key player retiring in KawaiiRice. She previously played for LighT eSports, and was known as KnighTLighT.
She qualified to Challenger League in Season 1 of WCS America, and has survived in Challenger since, until today, when she forfeited her match against Minigun in the Challenger Bracket of Season 3, and her spot in WCS.
The reason for her retirement is because despite her love for the game, and the community, she is no longer fit to play, but may come back for LotV.
Her retirement is most shocking, because the ratio of New Zealanders to Australians in WCS America used to be 2:1 to the benefit of the glorious nation of New Zealand, but the two rival countries are now tied 1:1.

Awwww, I liked her stream :/
Gl hf whatever you do now.

Not fit to play? Wrist issues maybe? :-\
A shame either way. She's only young so potential there to develop a lot.

Sad to hear it, even though she was a bloody Kiwi.
I hope she overcomes whatever it was that made her unfit to play and returns to the scene stronger

I thought Tilea picked between zerg and terran

Wow. Never even knew that Tilea was a female player, although I saw the name quite often in the brackets this year.

Wait... trapcarduser retired...? Wait... trapcarduser played zerg...? Damn, I'm out of touch with the NA scene. :o

Its always Saddening when young talent does quit. If its wrist issues I hope she can fix them by doing exercises etc.
even if it isnt I do hope that teams promote the importance of a healthy lifestyle! Personally taikido execises has done wonders for my wrists and arms, but enough about that.
Best of luck to Tilea and whatever shes planning on doing in the future and I do hope we will see her come back for LotV.

Her stream was really cool, both cause of her unusual plays and her interaction with viewers. Hope she'll get better and come back!

More retire to come .....sadly this game is no longer enjoayble or fun cause u barely can find friends who plays it. I wish best of all to Tilea ,maybe to try Lotv she returns like all others but i cant see another way only LAN can make some difference or F2p + massive destruction of deathballs..... and 30 sek 200/200 battles.

Aw, I've occasionally watched her stream and it was quite enjoyable. Too bad, I don't know what her personal issues are that she is dealing with (I suppose it's not really any of our business though), but here's to hoping she can overcome them.
|
Sad... I liked her style

The market returns to equilibrium :\
Too many players, not enough revenue and prize money in the system to support them all. I bet a lot of these progamers were just waiting it out until their run in Season 3 ended, so that they could have at least finished off the year.

Shame. She played really smart.
