In a jungle on planet Abaddon, executors of Vanguard of Aiur is protecting Stellar Core from 60 waves of rampaging Zerg! 4 players coop tower defense, summon heroes, harvest resources, build towers to resist dozens of different Zerg! Challenge Bosses, upgrade Resonance Crystal, buy more heroes, artifacts, towers!
Tower from different tribe have different traits, good defense against different type of Zerg units. Can be enhanced by Runes and Relics. Buy more towers when you get a higher level!
You don’t earn money by killing mobs in Clash on Abaddon! Nexus is the core of the economic system. Player can build Probes to harvest minerals and vespene gas which can be used to build and upgrade towers. Nexus also have many technologies about probe and hero.
For those who think that this TD is some easy pushover, this particular arcade game is actually a very difficult game to master. I played this game quite a few times, and I have been easily defeated. My personal best is lv. 21 on beginner, and 99% of my games have not reached beyond lv. 20. Definitely frustrating to play this game as a beginner for sure (and certainly a turn off for a lot of newbie players).
I wish there was a strategy guide on mastering the game, because this is an interesting arcade game.
We managed to get to w60 standard, without relying too heavily on runes/relics i think. We were pretty lucky with waves so the strat probably isn't 100% safe, but i think with minor tweaks it's solid enough for standard. You definitely want to play with a team who are willing to play by the strat, as it requires solid teamwork.
Basic idea: all 4 defend core, everyone concentrating on 1 kind of tower, so use runes accordingly.
Player 1 builds in the middle of the Y crossing. 2 obelisks. Probe up to 10, and make the upper obelisk into a high templar by wave 5 (requires 2-3 mineral drops). The next big goal is to get an archon out by w20. Player 2, 3, 4: build on the sides, each going for 4 towers of each tribe. It's essential to have 2 high templar on the sides as well for the extra slow. Scouts and guards are probably better, but we haven't experimented much yet.
Make use of guider towers for extra damage, and use furinax towers on boss waves to get rid of the boss' shields before it reaching the Y crossing, Make sure to use altar on boss and bonus waves. Eventually u'll get ultimate nova class towers. Keep in mind that they don't have special attacks, so don't turn your archons into Tassadars.
Not all heroes were created equal, super carrier, void seeker, chiliarch and sentry is the best setup in my opinion, but there's room for deviation i'm sure.
All players must push economy pretty hard, using the extra minerals from bonus waves to buy the next upgrade. Mining 1 by w7-9, nexus 1 at w10, mining 2 at w15, nexus 2 at w20 etc (new upgrade every 5 levels).
Thanks taplonaplo! Just did that strat with 3 other guys and got to wave 50 even though we leaked on waves 5 and 15. We lost to the guy with 2 copies that walks down both sides and your hero is randomly buffed'debuffed. Couldn't even get his shields down even though we had so many ultimate towers and furinax towers.
But I think what taplonaplo put up is the proper way to beat this game. The stupid right/left/cross setup in pub games doesn't get econ up enough to get past waves 28-30.
Fun game! But some of the descriptions are switched or plain out wrong -- for instance the hero HT, the psi storm description has been put on the nexus cannon ability and vice versa.
