my name is Phil Patel, some of you might already know me from a former Skype discussion.
I am the manager of Wasif "CombatEX" Khan.
I decided to open this thread because I am fully convinced the majority of TeamLiquid users want to have CombatEX featured again after his sensational performance at WCG China:
Ignoring CombatEX even now, after his international breakthrough, would not be a very wise decision. Actually, it has been brought to my attention that the Korean commentators highly praised CombatEX in his series against Parting and wondered why they never heard anything about this extraordinarily talented foreigner...
As I know your site values democracy very highly (at least that is the official statement), I thought it would be a good idea to run the following poll for 7 days. This way dear mods, you at least get an idea what the people really think of Wasif.
Poll: As of December 11 2012, Wasif "CombatEX" Khan shall
get unbanned from TeamLiquid, with full restoration of his public status. (193)
60%
remain banned from TeamLiquid. (131)
40%
324 total votes
remain banned from TeamLiquid. (131)
324 total votes
Your vote: As of December 11 2012, Wasif "CombatEX" Khan shall
(Vote): remain banned from TeamLiquid.
(Vote): get unbanned from TeamLiquid, with full restoration of his public status.
Here's the deal:
Should after one week at least 51 % of users have voted for the unbanning of CombatEX, you will unban him, feature his Twitch stream and allow a CombatEX fanclub as long as he doesn't fall back into his old bad behaviour (i.e. no more streamcheating, overly excessive BM, ...)
In case you, dear user, are still uncertain about which option to choose, I highly recommend watching the following video of CombatEX from last year (which is as topical now as ever) and let your heart decide afterwards.
A personal appeal to all users: Most important to me is not that you support CombatEX, but that each and every one of you takes stock of themselves and makes a responsible decision. Only this way we can reasonably evaluate this important issue.
Yours truly,
Phil Patel
