The French Qualifiers ends in a short final offline where some of french best players - Stephano aside - are battling it out to obtain a precious seed into Group G ( Bly, Xy, Zanubis) and possibly another seed in Group C (Zohan, StarNaN, Harstem, sLivko) as the lattest cancelled his participation due to his visa issues. You should watch it because the level while noting compared to the GSL running simultaneously is probably more homogeneous.
Aside from the SC2 tournament, you can also watch CS:GO, CS:GO Girls, Shootmania, DotA2, LoL, Fifa 13, TrackMania:Nations, TrackMania:Canyons and Tekken Tag Tournament 2.
Day 1 : Wednesday, Oct 31 8:00am GMT (GMT+00:00)
Day 2 : Thursday, Nov 01 8:00am GMT (GMT+00:00)
Group A
Dayshi just signed with Millenium while taking a year off to play SC2, with his 2nd place at the WCS France, he should be the favorite to win both this group and the tournament. KenZy is a old timey solid player - by french standards -, he is famous for his Nyduses. He could advance but won't flip tables if he doesn't. KleeneX was a OK WC3 player who spends more time watching movies than playing nowadays, still he qualified and will try his best to please his dear manager. NeOAnGeL is a upcoming player who is doing good in the Francophone Championship right now, if he can translates his skill during an online tournament, he should be able to advance.
Group B
Adelscott used to be the best french player and he was acknowledged internationnally for defeating MVP in TSL3, nowadays he is the shadow of his former self. With rumors of possible retirement, this tournament is a do-or-die kind of challenge and it doesn't looks good for him. CENSURE broke into the french SC2 scene with risky strategies - a common trait for zergs - he has now solidified his position as a promising player; Him advancing here would confirm his progression. MarinLord is the other terran here, and besides that and the fact that he isn't likely to advance, there isn't much to see. Fellow terrans please keep your attention on Dayshi to avoid brain seizure. MiNiMaTh is a part-time player who can be good and can be bad. He has looked better lately so he should be considered a favorite here - especially since he beat Adel on the opening match.

Censure qualified to the semis over Adel. Had the chance to interview him quickly, nothing special : ZvP is not his best match-up, he thinks he can win the whole thing but Dayshi stills the favorite. MiNiMaTh just won over marinlord, so i think he is qualified to the semis to but im not sure i have to check the overall standing again. Dayshi's match is next.
Also, on an unrelated note, the big favorite for the cs girl tournament got eliminated (Millenium). Lots of tears here, there were lots of expectations for those girls. Quite sad but this reminds us that esports is more often about shattered dreams rather fairytales.

MarinLorD won over MiNiMaTh, not the over way around. It doesn't change anything for the playoffs though with MiNiMaTh finishing first and CENSURE second. The last match of today is KleeneX versus Dayshi where the terran is expected to win, the winner will face MiNiMaTh.

The players that I expected to be in the top4 are allready out! -__-

Yes this has been quite a surprising day, not only in SC2, but also in CS:GO (girls) and shootmania started with an upset to. Interesting result so far and it's a very hard day for Millenium. I highly doubt Kleenex will be able to win it so their last hope for a slot at the grand final is their CS:GO team imho.

"Fellow terrans please keep your attention on Dayshi to avoid brain seizure."
LOL, that's a bit harsh isn't it? xD

LOL, that's a bit harsh isn't it? xD He was the weakest player and the metagame isn't favorable. I would have loved to see him (or Dayshi for that matter) advance. But with CENSURE being the cheesy player he is, Adel being more solid in PvT than in PvZ and MiNiMaTh playing badly but still winning because he is zerg, it was realistic to say that MarinLorD would not advance.

Semi Finals :
NeOAnGeL vs CENSURE
MiNiMaTh vs KleeneX
We will know the finalists around lunchtime (CEST), i expect neoangel and minimath to take the two spots for the world final.
