Continuing from the old thread.
Since our cult leader FakeSteve seems to be banned for longer than expected, this is a new, updated thread for those who play Travian.
Simple basics to help you setup an account:
1. Sign up on Server 4
2. Locate yourself in the NORTHWEST quadrant. (If you situate yourself in any other quadrant, we will ignore you.)
3. Select one of the three races. Click on "Information" or the "FAQ" on the front page.
And now you're set to go.
Starting out:
- The first six to eight days, you will be upgrading fields only. Do not build any buildings. I cannot stress this enough. To use an analogy from someone in the old thread, upgrading fields is like building SCVs, you want to time it right. You don't want to build a supply depot with your 6th SCV, you want to wait until later.
- Level all the same type of fields evenly. If you have 2111 wood fields, you want to get the three level 1 fields to 2, before upgrading that level 2 field to 3.
- You want to keep a production ratio of 10:12:8:6 for wood:clay:iron:crop. This is a guideline that I personally used and it worked better than just upgrading all your fields evenly, all at the same time.
- By the time you hit all of your fields at least level 3 or higher, start upgrading your main building to level 3, then get a barracks. Pump a few units (initially about 6 legs, 14 phalanx, 10 clubbers) and start raiding the smaller population locals.

Self-explanatory. We play for the glory that is TeamLiquid.net. Help each other, in building and from attacks.

Click on your Embassy => click on "to the alliance menu" => "Forum"
Please talk with your alliance. Communication is a good thing. Go say hi to them.

Ok, I'll do a run through of what's going on recently and what I think we should do to handle it.
A few days ago lil.sis attacked a 4 pop guy, who is a friend of a Mafia-N member. The Mafia-N member is across the quadrant and is probably sending clubbers, or at best calvary, to attack lil.sis. Mafia is not that strong but they are massive in size. And right now, they could cause major damage to us, especially TL.net3, if we go into war with them right now.
I say we try to end this as soon as we can. TL.net3 is already engaging in a war against SWolf. They are not fit to fight a two front war at the moment. Kazansky, ROM, and Ascelon (Anihc, NoName, and oneofthem, respectively) have reached catapult tech and will be attacking SWolf as well. It would be incredibly burdening for them if we start a war with Mafia and have our members try to retaliate and provide support.
On the smaller issue of AMF, Psyren attacked a few AMF-NW member earlier this week and they decided to retal on him. Psyren wasn't on TL.net3 tag then but he is now. AMF lost over 150 troops trying to attack Psyren. Before the attacks, AMF was allied with -TL- and was requesting alliance with TL.net1. After this incident, I've decided to dissolve the alliance with AMF, and I suggest that TL.net1 and TL.net3 do the same. Psyren was the aggressor but we don't allow any of our members get attacked and remain allied to that alliance.

Alright, I am going to say this once. Stop communicating with people you attack. Apparently the Admins/Mods of Travian have strict rules about blackmail, etc. Don't ask for reinbursements for what you lose, ever. If you got hit, and you're annoyed, post the coordinates and we'll hit back even harder.
