This is the first game I've played with instant majority lynch. It seems like it can cut off day time and bring nights faster, which presumably would help scum. What are people's opinions on establishing a second nonbinding vote system and agreeing not to vote for real until like 24 hours or more into a day? Also lets random lynch day 1!

It's better to save it for later in the game when we're in a pinch. I asked why YOU wanted to random lynch not why Palmar sometimes random lynches. Palmar isn't even in this game. Why are you dodging? I'm not going to go searching for a random Palmar post about mafia and I'm not going to let you drop Palmar's name like that's an excuse to do something that is widely reguarded as a bad move. .... Ugh So the thing about random lynching is you never want to actually random lynch, it doesn't give you enough info for layer. But what you can do is, if you can get a little momentum going for a random lynch, it freaks scum the fuck out if they don't know what's going on. They know that unless they fuck up, there is little chance for them to get lynched normally on day 1. The information advantage and the ability for their teammates to push other bandwagons guarantee that. So when they think a random lynch might actually happen, they start to behave weirdly and you can pick that out.

it is assfuckingly short lets get some more shit out there, okay terrible mixing of metaphors there but whatever anyway here's what I think - at first I thought sinensis was scum because he's not being a huge dick but then i realized i was confusing him with sinani. there goes that whole post. so now i think ottoxlol is maybe scum because he posts a bunch of short posts but doesn't really say much of substance. austinmcc always posts like a billion things. shiaopi i am calling you out. last game we played together you derped your way through because you were blue, then you solved the game but it was too late. If you're town I call on you to play this whole game for reals even if you are blue, you've shown you can do good analysis (even if your case wasn't very well presented, you did solve the game) so people are going to want you to keep doing it now. what do you think about ottoxlol.

@questions someone was asking me: I think I was pretty clear explaining the random lunch thing. There's a bunch of names in here I don't recognize, so proposing the random lunch was kind of a long shot hoping that some of the ones I did recognize would go along with me because they knew the plan. It didn't work out, oh well. Sinensis I don't think your point on Austin is very good. Even if you disagree with him, for that to make him scum his position would have to be pushing a scum agenda and I don't think it does. He's not saying "scum wouldn't hammer someone becaise it would bring pressure, therefore hammering isn't scummy", he's just saying "hammering would bring a lot of pressure" - or at least that's how I interpreted it. I also don't think "you seem too afraid of getting lynched, you must be scum" is good logic. Actually, that's terrible logic - if townies always let themselves be lunched or didn't care about it then scum would always get easy mislynches and win. Conversely, if townies never let themselves get lunched then town would always win. Getting mislynched is like the worst thing a townie can do. So don't judge ottoxlol based on whether he's trying not to get lynched, judge him based on how he's scum hunting and how he is interacting with the thread. Also I place an fos on whoever said he was scum because he doesn't want to get lynched. I really think that's bad logic. Planes gonna leave soon ill check in again later tonight.

I want to think otto is scum because I feel like "getting pissed because the case against you is bad or badly expressed" is usually a scum tell. Scum get mad because "they don't deserve to find me like that" Townies get mad because "why won't they listen to me they're just being stubborn or having confirmation bias" but that usually only comes after they make a defense. So fos for that on Otto. But the thing is the rest of his filter doesn't feel scummy to me. He stuck with his suspicion of me but didn't over exaggerate it when I was posting weird and shitty stuff. And his stuff on the random lynch seemed retarded and purposely obtuse but when I retread it assuming he actually thought a random lynch meant "everyone randomize their vote" it is actually consistent. In summary: Otto you need to post more and I don't like your reaction to pressure but at this point I don't want to lynch you. So here's who I do want to lynch - thrawn. This was the first time I read his filter all the way through, and I noticed two trends - lack of follow through and jumping reads. Look at his attacks on me and on Otto. He asks me about shiaopi and I just completely blow him off on account of not actually having read his post. But the thing is, he didn't push me on it except for a side comment at some point, because he'd moved on to Otto. Then he jumps to sinensis without actually explaining why his read on Otto changed, except that people were jumping off of Otto at that point. So I think we should lunch thrawn. I don't think we should no lynch. Unless I'm doing the math wrong, all that buys us is another no lunch. Yes that gives us extra time, but it also pretty much lets scum hand pick who is alive at lylo, it's not worth it. So ##vote: thrawn2112

The more I think about it the more I dislike the logic from phagga (I think it was phagga) when he said that Otto was scum for not wanting to die. I also think sinensis looks a little suspicious on review. I didn't really think critically about his assertion that Otto was getting upset over being voted unfairly but now reading ottos filter I don't think that was supported very well. I'm going to have to reread this thread. There should be time for that today.
