Hello, TL, 25th place EU master terran here.
So, on IPL we saw lots of TvZ games where terrans used this build introduced by MMA.
Main idea is to go for fast CC without gas, then get 2 gaisers and continue to standart reactored hellions to cloack banshees. This should allow terran to delay 3rd base of zerg and be able to be on the map.
But, i saw huge blunder in many games - going to banshee after hellions is very hard to deal with zergs 2 base roach-ling-bling allins. Because we have few hellions, 1 banshee and 3-4 marines in bunker. Event if banshee will kill all zergs stuff, she will be able to do this only after all svcs will die. Demuslim die to this kind of push, MMA or MKP, Puma, Polt - a saw this many times and terrans still trying to go for banshee.
Can we actualy hold variations of roach-ling-bling allins with banshee transition? I think the only safe option is to go for siege tanks after hellions. But ofcource we lose oportunity to delay 3rd.
What do wyou think, folks?

I think it depends on the situation. Getting a scout off with the initial hellions is crucial. If you see TONS of lings before he should have them out and about, you need to immediately swap and go for tanks, dropping additional Barracks INSTEAD of the double e-bays that are typical. The Banshee can start by rallying along the attack path initially, and if it hasn't hit yet, start taking out his drones. If he's gone for an all-in play, it may be very difficult for him to hold off the Banshee.
Here's the sequence I think should happen:
1. 1-rax FE, 2x gas 2. Reactor hellions -> scout him as you're building the Starport; if you see too much stuff for it to be a standard build, DON'T get cloak 3. Banshee + hellions if normal play, swap to tanks and control map vision with hellion + banshee if all-in/heavy pressure. 4. Normal play is 3rd CC and 2x E-bay, if defending an all-in, get extra Barracks and Bunkers while teching instead. 5. Attempt to either deny third with Hellions/Banshee or stay alive if he all-ins.
Focusing down as many of the roaches as possible while they move across the map will do wonders for the hold. Without Roaches, a baneling attack is dead the moment siege tech hits the field. If you can even get one siege tank and target fire the banelings, you're in great shape.

The typical allin does skip lair but gets an evo chamber and 2 spores.
Just form the best reaction possible. Immediately lift your natural and save your SCVs in your base. Keep hellions alive as long as possible. Focus banelings with the banshee. Also if you can construct the wall at the top of your ramp with 1 depot, and the rest buildings, construct a wall in panic that will hold back the roaches. If the wall consists of buildings and the hellions are behind it, with some banshee shooting down at the roaches and optionally SCVs repairing the wall I think you will survive. Roaches may shoot the repairing SCVs which could complicate the issue. But he can't have more than 10 roaches. Usually he will be reinforcing with zerglings. The roaches should be dying to banshees. Still I believe first target the banelings.
I do not think you should construct the wall out of 2 depots. If the zergs breaks into your base then you are surely dead.
You have the map control and scouting to see roaches running across the map. The attack shouldnt come as a surprise and you should have these preparations.

If your opponent does some kind of low econ all inn you will always lose ton of scv:s but you are even/ little a head in econ because of 3 orbitals if you manage to survive the attack.
