The Portuguese player Diogo "sYz" Barbosa won this afternoon the Sennheiser Cup Season 2 CUP Finals from ESL.
Diogo Barbosa had an impressive run without dropping a single set, something viewed as very prestigious especially from a player viewed generally as an underdog. sYz let out a war cry and proved he can not only compete, but also win against the best.
sYz's run wouldn't be easy as the tournament included great players such as GoOdy, Nerchio, MoMaN and one of the strongest contenders, the winner of ESWC 2011, the French player Stephano.

Diogo "sYz" Barbosa's run:
vs TSLPolt (2:0)
vs vOddy (2:0)
vs ESC.GoOdy (2:0)
vs Empire.Beastyqt (3:0)
Diogo went all the way up to the final, where he won against Team Empire's Alexander "Beastyqt" Krstic by 3:0, sweeping the €500 prize money for the first place.
The final standings were as follows:
1st: BLAST‡sYz - €500
2nd: Empire.Beastyqt - €300
3rd: ESC.GoOdy - €100
Defs.org chatted with Diogo "sYz" Barbosa to learn his reactions and expectacions from before and after this tournament.
Defs.org: Hello and congratulations for your win in Sennheiser Cup. Could you introduce yourself for the people that don't know you?
BLAST‡sYz: My name is Diogo Barbosa from Porto, I'm a 23 year old Starcraft 2 player who plays for team BLAST.
Defs.org: This afternoon you entered in Sennheiser Cup, which had some big names from around the world in Starcraft 2. Did you expect to achieve this win, or did you enter the tournament just to see how far you could go?
BLAST‡sYz: I couldn't qualify through the 16 weekly tournaments they hosted, but I was the first replacement based on my good performance in the tournaments I played, and because there was a player who couldn't play, I was in. I wasn't expecting to play, much less to win it.
Defs.org: Nevertheless you had an impressive run and if I'm not mistaken you reached the final without dropping a single set. Did that give you confidence to play against Beastyqt or were you afraid?
BLAST‡sYz: Yes, everything went better than expected. In the first two rounds I was much more nervous than in the last two rounds. I was playing well and thus I began building up confidence .
Defs.org: And what can we expect from sYz tournament-wise? Do you have any tournaments in mind? Did this win give you self-confidence to train more and aim higher?
BLAST‡sYz: You can expect the same as always... I always try my best, and sometimes the results show up, sometimes they don't. I don't play by myself, and the other players are also very good. But of course the goal is someday to be considered the best.
Defs.org: Do you have any stream or other ways for people to watch you play? How do your practice games usually go?
BLAST‡sYz: The link for my stream is here and I normally stream my practice games. Practice for me is to play ladder a lot! And everytime I lose a game, I try to understand why I lost and not to make the same mistake the next time I'm in the same situation!
Defs.org: Thank you for your availability, congratulations for your win and good luck for your next tournaments! Do you want to thank someone or say something to our readers?
BLAST‡sYz: Yes, I wanna thank the support from the Portuguese community in general, they always give me strength in these international tournaments. Also I wanna thank my team BLAST, which is an excellent organization and helps and supports me everytime I need .
Defs.org congratulates Diogo for this win and wishes luck for the next tournaments to come.
