Hello my name is Tommy Ian Rasmussen and I'm the creator of StarCraft Lounge Denmark
StarCraft Lounge Denmark is a group organized for the purpose of promoting StarCraft in Denmark through BarCraft and Tournaments. We have successfully hosted BarCrafts in Aarhus, Copenhagen, Aalborg and Odense (100-300 Attendees each)
We are currently only on facebook but when the need arises, a website will be made as well. The point of creating an all encompassing organization is to easily spread information on the whereabouts of tournaments and barcrafts, but more importantly to create a relationship with the bars that goes both ways. We give the bars easy access and a way to interact with the attendees, and a promise of good attendance. We get strength in numbers which helps us by letting us take part in dictating the price on beer and so on.
Instead of waiting around for the bars to wise up, and see the potential in StarCraft and creating BarCrafts on their own, we go out and create them on our terms. It will be more beneficial to us but will also happen a lot faster.
So please join StarCraft Lounge Denmark. All events and messages are in English so if you are a foreigner living in Denmark you are just as welcome to join
StarCraft Lounge Denmark http://www.facebook.com/StarcraftLoungeDK (688 Likes)
We also have subgroups for each specific city. Join the one closest to you to get automatic invites. This is especially important in the new groups, as we can not promise a bar attendance as long as the numbers are too low

The StarCraft Lounge Denmark initiative is the first step in the direction of transforming Denmark into a StarCraft capitol. Even if you don't live near any of the places we are currently supporting then please still 'LIKE' the SLD page as we might host a future BarCraft in your area. Tournaments are also in the works.

I like this. I know a lot of Danes that don't know anything Starcraft related outside the game such as TL, tournaments and everything.
This is good.

Mee too. We really need that,

StarCraft Lounge Copenhagen is growing rapidly. The possibility of having BarCraft in downtown Copenhagen by next month is looking more and more plausible. Keep up the good work of promoting the group
|
BUMP, because this is awesome

Updated the OP once again. There must be more gamers from Aalborg and Odense on this site
|
I only play BW, but sure I'll show up to support it, e-sports in denmark is something I'm not gonna pass by for sure.
Excited, gonna sign up for the Aalborg one

I'd consider an event in Copenhagen if one was to pop up, but I gotta admit I'd rather be somewhere with foosball, beer and women. In that order.
Here's a thought: talk to HBF (HBF.gominisite.dk) about using their place - They have a pretty big screen and tons of foosball tables!

I'll consider any place recommended to me, but foosball? Do you want to play foosball while watching StarCraft? I don't think many people will want noisy foosball tables when they are watching StarCraft.
Though I would love to introduce StarCraft to everyone, the foosball crowd is really not on the top of my list.
But keep the ideas for bars in Copenhagen coming.

Great initiative guys, i have been looking for at good danish sc2 community. Far too few danes watch tournaments and streams online, this is a way for them to discover that. Who knows, maybe we can even get a danish year-round league going with danes only:D Would have great streaming potential.

There are things like that on the drawing board indeed

So let's get some more barcrafts going!
|

Excellent, barcraft is always great and why should we Danes be left behind, and getting something like a year-round league up would be awesome, who knows if we get it up and running, and it gets known who knows we might even get a caster for a final or 2
