Light Girl, was diagnosed with Fulminant Hepatic Failure (one kind of acute liver failure), which has a high mortality rate. She was admitted into the ICU and now needs a liver transplant. Yesterday, word about this spread on twitter and the online community, with commentator Lee Seung Won appealing to fans to extend their help.

Light Girl, 22, is a very prominent Light/MBC/BW fangirl. She started appearing at all of (T)

Light's matches in 2010 so MBC's caster Kim Chul Min dubbed her "Light Girl". Since then, there has been much discussion in the esports community about her.

Upon hearing the news about Light Girl yesterday, KT Rolster sent in 100 blood donor registration cards this morning they had previously collected for Violet's illness [thanks Kalent!]. They wanted to repay the love shown by esports fans to Violet when he fell ill with Leukemia. KT hopes that this gesture on their part will inspire more fans to donate blood. Light Girl is currently at Seoul National University Hospital. Her liver transplant surgery is pending the results of compatibility tests her family are undergoing.

Light girl is walking again, she will be discharged from the hospital very soon, maybe tomorrow. She wasn't able to watch the OSL Finals but she was supporting the eventual winner. Still, the road to full recovery will be very long, so wish her all the best.

She will definately get better. Soon the injury will seem almost invisible to her.

i'm sorry for asking this but exactly who is she? i'm an avid follower of bw but have never heard of her for some reason.. regardless, i hoep she gets well soon. there has been too much bad news concerning bw lately

I know very little about medicine but from what Lee Seung Won tweeted and after googling it myself, if she doesn't get a successful liver transplant, the chances of survival are very low. I really hope she will find a liver donor match and recover from this.

I must say things look pretty bleak. She needs a donor who's a match plus successful surgery plus her body not rejecting the new liver. I think the odds are better than hyuk wins the next OSL.

That said, is it wrong for me to automatically think this would be a good premise for a Korean Drama between her and Light?
