Well this is a rare occurrence, but here I am kicked back at my computer watching OGN. The plan was to catch up on yesterday's IOPS action, but then I noticed on OGN's schedule that there was a live SKY Proleague game. Didn't even know it was the "Grand Final" yikes. That time already? I guess so. Well, I've never done any game reports before, let alone live reports, but I'll give it a shot seeing as there might not be many other people able to.

So, I just commandeered the second post in this thread to do the live reports here. It's tough work keepin' my post count so low, so I don't wanna break the nice streak I've got goin' with a bunch posts Sorry 'bout the lameness of that, I guess if you wanna read this live you'll have to keep refreshing this page, and watch the end of the thread for other people's updates. Might be confusing? Maybe. Well I'll try to update this post, hmmm, maybe every 5 minutes or so? Don't know how I'll hold up though, especially if it goes the full length of potential games. Been a long week at work anyway. Well enough of that, on with the reportin'.

So far not a ton goin' on yet. They have both teams, PanTech and Hanbit on stage right now. They called each player up one by one, announcing their names as they walked up - sorta Super Bowl style. Quite a large arena they're in. The lighting isn't great, so I haven't been able to really grasp the size of the crowd yet - not many shots of it yet anyway.

Not knowing a lick of Korean, I'm out of luck on what they're talking about. They talked to some of the players, I noticed HOT sportin' a nice new hairdo for the special occasion.

Hmm, looks like they're talking about the matchups. They decide them right at the beginning, as in they didn't know beforehand who was playing vs who I guess? Seems as though. Well, by the zoom-in on the players, looks like GF vs HOT in game one, Nada vs (shoot, forgetting already).... doh they're going too fast and I'm not paying very close attention because of the typing.

Yikes, starting soon, I better post this.

Well, they're still just chattin' away so far. The main MC doing most of the talking as usual. Man, he sure has a knack for creating some excitement ^^. Ahh, looks like game 1 is under way - Neo Guillotine PvP Rock vs Daezang. Yipee, the VOD screen is frozen. T_T

Hmm, maybe I'll give up, Pop is doing a better job anyway T_T. And maybe this update-one-post isn't such a great idea. Long page load each update, and getting worse.

Some Zealot action going on in Rock's base, 5 of his chasing one of Daezang's - which is on it's way back to his own base. Both have double gates. Mr. PanTech going range goon, and Dae going range, with a citadel already completed.

Battle ensues in front of Rock's base, 5 zeals 2 goons vs about the same, exchanging zeals, now an equal number of goons battling it out. Camera just panned to Hanbit's base with 2 DTs headed on the war path.

They're in the mineral line slicing and dicing. Rock has 6 goons head towards Dae's base. Battling inside with 2 DTs and some backup goons. The PanTech Nexus falls to the DTs along with most of the probes.

GG, Rock types out and Hanbit takes the first game.

After some Korean commercials (surprisingly a short amount), we're back with the announcers. Daezang played a pretty solid game. Quick game too, wow. Rock just seemed to get outplayed straight up. I wonder what the commentators are talking about right now, they always seem to have a lot to talk about. A note about the stage they're playing on, it seems to be completely surrounded by people. Not sure how they have the screens setup exactly. Anyway, it looks neat 'cause neon blue lights outline the stage in a big star shape, with the booths centered and opposite each other.

Well, looks like they're getting setup for game two, a 2vs2 on Odin. Let's see, GF and (Silver?) vs HOT and Sunny. Game's just getting underway now.

GF(T) at 5, Silver(Z) at 1 - vs - HOT(Z) at 7, Sunny(T) at 11. HOT goes double hatch then pool, Silver goes pool first and gas. GF going quick metal, has his Fac already started. Haven't seen it yet, but I imagine Sunny is doing the same. Lings chase SCVs around their base, and both Zergs go for lair. Sunny is going Double starport, we'll see how that goes.

Not much action so far. Ahh, GF is going double Starport also. Now the Zergs just both need to go Muta and we'll have an all-out air war ^^. HOT has a sizable amount of lings outside Silvers base, but isn't able do anything vs the lings and 2 sunks at the ramp. GF's first two wraiths causing some havoc on the ovie's in HOT's main.

Ok, there's not really any time for proofreading right now, so sorry in advance for all my mistakes T_T. Minimap shows the action itself, all four colors are pretty much contained in their corners. HOT expands to his nat. Silver has the mutas picking off a few scout lings. Sunny just expanding to his nat now, while GF floats an already complete one to his.

Wow, 2v2 and no one's dead yet. Looks like everyone has their nat mining or near completed too. Groups of wraiths and Mutas flying around, but not much engagement as of yet really. GF build a few turrets at Silver's Nat, nice. Big battle there right now. Looks pretty even. Just when it started turning Hanbit's way, GF's goliaths arrive and save the day.

Silver's mutas chase down a few remaining wraiths of Sunny. Big battle in front of Sunny's right now. Gols and lings break the wall, he only has 2 tanks to defend right now. His nat is losing SCVs fast to lings. Now a sizable force of Goli's and Muta/ling is engaging HOT's base. Mutas harassing the mineral line while Gols are at this nat. HOT defending with drones. GF taking a second expansion. Sunny not completely dead yet, still has some SCVs. GF's Gols worked over HOTs main, but sunks are protecting the nat. And 3 tanks from Sunny just arrived to help out.

Muta/ling from Silver arrive back at Sunny's nat to finish cleaning up. SCVs transfer to the main and surround a turret, but it's not helping much. Not looking good for Hanbit at all, been that way for a few minutes actually. GF now brings a sizable group to take out the sunks protecting HOTs nat. Muta and wraiths finishing Sunny's Main.

Ahh, there it is, GG! Pretty sound victory by PanTech, bringing the series to 1:1. This could go the full 7, we'll have to see. Ok, reading some of the other posts in the thread now. Hey Emlary! Glad to see you too of course ^^ I'm enjoying the weekend so far, off to a good start

The usual Korean commercials again, all game and cell phone ads mostly. They just showed a game that looked surprisingly a decent bit like Starcraft, just zoomed in. Enternal City it was called, haven't heard of it. Right now they're doing of bunch of PanTech team clips. All just player shots, no in-game stuff. PanTech fighting!

I guess if I'm rootin' for a team, it would be PanTech. Of course that might be partly due to Mr. Gosu himself, Nada, my favoritest player of all, being on their team. Hanbit doesn't really have any single super-star players that stand out right now, but they've always done very well in team leagues. Not exactly sure why, I think they have a really strong 2v2 team, thanks a lot to my #2 Zerg, old-schooler Hottie (ie HOT-Forever, I seem to have my own nicknames for a lot of players actually. Take TheMarine for example, for some reason I've taken to calling him Reeny - like marine sound). Anyway, I pretty much always liquibet for Hanbit.

Ahh, next game looks to be starting soon, Xeno Sky. I think Nada might be up next, hope so ^^

Alrighty, Nada is up, w00t!~ Oh crap, and I got so excited that I missed who the zerg was! T_T It's TvZ, Nada at 11-ish and Zerg at 7-ish. Zergy scouts with 9 drone, Sea.s2 lays down a Rax. Ahh, going gas, could be quick metal. Nada seems to like going metal vs Zerg lately. Pool comes up and gas after a hatch at the nat. Ahh, the zerg is Clon. Haha good luck to him. Nada will surely destroy him, w00t ^^

Scout SCV doin' it's thing, still alive. Man, Nada is just gosu at that. First Vult of Nada's started on it's way down the map, but then held back just outside this own nat. Brings an SCV there and starts a CC. Sends 3 vults down. Darn, they all got killed. Clon had some lings blocking his ramp, a few hydras sittin' around, and a sunk or two also.

Clon has a spire finished and hydra den too. Launches a double front on Nada, Mutas at main and lings to the nat. Turrets save the main just fine, but the Nat is in bad shape T_T. No no, Yoon Yeol fighting, come on. Dang, hydra/muta kills the CC and are now harassing his main. He switched back to M&M for some reason.

Bah, this is not looking good. Grrr, flock of Mutas picking off SCVs everywhere, marines back near the bunker so they don't get killed. No no no no no. GG T_T Nada GG's out. Bah, and I'm so busy typing I don't really even know what happened T_T.

Well, I think Nada got a bit too ambitious that game, and Clon had his timing down. I'm just going to play this off to Nada being sooo busy and having sooo much to practice for all the time, that he wasn't able to fully prepare for this game. Whereas Clon on the other hand, probably had the last 2 months set aside just for this one and only game His brilliant plot to foil the master gosu. Boo. Alas, I will take comfort in the fact that Nada will win the OSL very soon, and retake his undisputed and rightful throne. Haha, alright, it's starting to get late and I'm feelin' a little loosey-goosey. I'm not to be taken serious right now!

Ok, just read the end of the thread and PoP is being much more useful with his reports, ie telling what was actually going on. I seem to be just blathering at this point. Ok, time to go grab a drink and mentally refresh ^^

Yeah, that last game was pretty disappointing. And so the score is 2:1 in favor of Hanbit. Shoot, I hope Nada gets another game and a chance to redeem himself. Hopefully it'll be in the cards.

Alright, got some M&M's (..the candy!) and a glass of good ole' chocolate milk. Looks like the action is just about to start up again. Well, maybe after some talking probably. Lookin' back at the list and Vertigo is up next. They're showing a picture of the map along with each team's logo. Hmm, looks like their records on that map maybe? Wow, PanTech is 7:2, and Hanbit with an even more impressive 12:1. Wow. Nice, nice.

After some exciting shouting from the MC, game 4 is just underway. Let's see, it's Nada and Silver vs Daezang and the Hottie man. Gogo! Yoon Yeol at 7, Silver at 11. HOT at 1, and the Toss at 5.

Pool from HOT, at 9 it looks. Nada just starts a Rax as a probe arrives on the scene. Silver looks like 12 pool. Nada lays down a second Rax. And the crowd goes wild 'cause the probe manages to get a kill. Too bad that's all Daezang was doing and his base still has 4 probes! Ok, maybe there's more than that.

HOT has like 10 lings outside Silver's base. They always pick on the other one when there's a Terran. A Goon thinks it's going to harass gogoNada, then Yoon Yeol puts it in it's place with 6 rines. A couple more rines and 2 meds going - now 2 bats, stim, and launch at the 4 guarding goons.

Meanwhile, massive ling battle over at Silvers base, exchanging some lives, but then they settle and are content to watch each other over the ramp. Two sunks in Silvers main, just in case. Goons were doing fairly well vs Nada actually, but now he's parked his MnM on the upper ground, and adds a 3rd Rax.

HOT shows he's going spire, while Nada pushes out with his MnM. A massing amount of goons push him back up the ramp. Where are the lings Silver?! Fourth Rax comes for Nada, and he's totally committing to that strat. Oh, that's why. Hot has a massive amount of lings keeping Silver in his base. Meanwhile, Daezang deviously has a perfect circumference of goons keeping Nada contained.

Crap, Nada overplays his hand and looses much, and in come a crap load of goons. Out come the SCVs. Man, not looking good for my man. A lone zeal and templar arrive just in time to fry 2 medics. Yipee T_T. Darn, darn, that's GG.

Hanbit takes game 4, launching them to a comfy 3:1 position. Shoot, it could be down to this next game. No pressure or anything T_T. I wasn't really paying close enough attention to see exactly what went wrong. Basically, the Zergs equalized each other, mostly a stalemate at Silver's ramp. Kinda like 2 1v1s going on. Nada goes all MnM, and Daezang is pure mass goons. Unfortunate map layout has our Hero, Nada, trapped. Of course if it _was_ just a 1v1, Nada would've gone a different strat, but being with 2 other zergs there, MnM sounds reasonable. Not really much "teamwork" action that game really.

What's this, are they getting ready for another 2v2? That's what it looks like in the booths anyway. We'll see. Hmm, maybe they were just switching stuff around, thought I saw Control there though. No, no 2v2. It's Control vs Sir@Soni I think, on Requiem.

Yikes this is a really messy post T_T Maybe I'll clean it up later or something. Anyone even reading this anyway? I think I'm probably just in my own little world I guess, typing away to myself. Oh well. And I apologize for the quality of all this jabbering, horrendous for sure. It's like I'm on MSN chat or something. This isn't a real post!~ Maybe I'll just edit this whole thing to oblivion after this is over anyway.

Alright, so the Soni man holds the last hope for PanTech. It's do or die, all in the hands of this zerg. How does he feel about his ZvT, and against Mr. Bunker no less? Control is my man, but maybe he needs to lose this game just so we can have some more.

Count down and here we go. Zergy gets 3 while, Silent is at 6. What's this? Oh man, 4 pool cheese. Oh wait, we want PanTech to win this. And vs the Cheeseman himself. We'll see how this plays out. Control goes Rax first, so that's at least good for him. Ovie scouted in the right direction, lings almost hatched.

Second Rax going, first just finished. Scout SCV sees the lings. SCVs come out. Micro micro micro! Lings running around the base, Control buying some time for more rines to come. Not a ton of damage yet. Ahh there we go, 3 rines fall, bunch of SCVs, only 4 lings in base, but more on the way.

Five lings just camping in front of the Rax, waiting for the rine to come out. Ahh, Control built a Bunk, barely just finished and no rine inside! Rax floated near CC. Rine pops out and barely makes it into the bunk before lings could kill it!

Lings harassing Rax just outside of bunk range. Control forced to lift it so it does get destroyed. SCVs repair it mostly, but still some lings harassing here and there. Man, seems like the announcers keep saying GG!

Well! Control seems to have survived it! Nice work for him. Base very tight, still some lings scoping out the perimeter. Academy just finished, 5 rines standing around. Lings left the base. They haven't showed the Zerg base, so no idea what's going on there. Ahh, just now, 2 colonies in progress.

The Hanbit man has a control group of MnM and a bunker guarding his base. Ahh, zerg has a sneaky expand to the 5 o'clock expand, in between the 2 bases. Just started a spire there, and also a queen's nest. Factory almost finished for Control. No addon, probably getting port soon, yep. Spire and nest done, Hive started. Not much action fighting-wise, both players just teching. Haven't seen much in the way of scouting either, maybe they're both just guessing at what the other is doing.

Now Silver shows his new Mutas with a small bit of harassment, which does nothing. Control rolls out with 2-ish groups and a tank. Siege mode researching? Yep, done and blasting away at the 4 sunks near the entrance of the Zergy main.

Ahh, Guards, will they make it in time? Yep, all the MnM falls back, tank gone, and more Guards coming up. Couple scourgies hangin' around for looks as the crab-like beasts make their way to the Terran main.

Two port wraiths charge at the Guards, and it's a party at Controls main mineral line. We've got mutas scourge and a Dev vs microed wraiths and MnM on standby. Endless micro of back-and-forth flyers as Control adds a tower to one of his ports, likely for cloaking. Not sure that'll do much good though, several ovies standing by anyway.

The game is still actually pretty hard to call at this point. Control almost has his nat up just as the zerg scouts it. Sir@Soni has several Devs now, but lack of micro attention is letting his few guards die to wraith micro.

Wow, this is turning into quite a game, despite it's 4 pool beginning. Soni still fairly committed to his air strategy, Control still making the best of it trying to keep his main minerals mining. Ahh, a turn for the worse and Control lifts his CC, to get blasted by the growing Devs. But, the Hanbit man has a decent group of wraiths now, doing some gorilla damage. Took out the spire and now working on the nest at 5. A spore colony is keeping them from the mineral line, but an MnM drop takes care of that and the zergy expo is taken down.

Hmm, yikes I'm really missing a lot of this. Zergy main got destroyed by a drop quite some time ago it looks, and he's got a hatch at 12 just for mining gas, protected by 2 sunks. Trying to get a hatch started at 9, but Control knows about it (he started building Starports everywhere).

Basically looking GG for Soni now. Although, he does have quite a flock of Mutas with Dev support. Yikes maybe this is more even than I thought. Control has no functioning base. Soni doesn't really either, and each player is trying to foil the other's attempts to start a new one.

The 9 position is just coming online for Sir@Soni, he's getting spore colonies up asap, and keeping his forces there for protection. Control floats his ports around the map, has a few depots up at 12, but other than that he has no base. It's up to him being able to micro.

Wow, he drops MnM, cloaks at the right moment, kills a bunch of ovies. Now he goes in, probably for the last battle of the game.

GG! Soni wins as Controls last ditch attack fails. He literally didn't have anything else. And thus gives us another game, with the score set at 3:2 in favor of Hanbit.

Taking a little break I think. I have a feeling my reporting isn't giving a very good overall picture of how the game's going. Half the time I don't really even know for sure myself. Maybe the next game will be more of a shot-by-shot call.

Next up, Neo Guillotine. Not a great map for PanTech, they're 0:2 while Hanbit is at 2:2. Must be another 2v2 this time, right? After some chatting by the commentators, we'll get into the action. Looks like they're going over some statistics right now, not sure. I sure like the main MC guy though, he just has this presence and enthusiasm about him.

Man, I feel like I'm starting to get out of touch -_-;; I'm not recognizing the players by face immediately like I used to. Still a do or die situation for PanTech, while Hanbit still has a little breathing room. Ahh, there's a pan of the stadium. Wow, really a lot of people. I'd be interested to hear how many are actually there, this being the final grand final and all.

Alright, let's see who's playing... ZT vs ZT, Ggoma(T) at 1 and Silver(Z) at 7 - vs - Sunny(T) at 5 and Clon(Z) at 11. Ggoma walls in, as does Sunny - although Sunny is getting some drone harassment almost killing the building SCV. Both Zergs have lings headed towards Sunny's 5 position.

Lings break the wall! Where is his ally's lings? Making a late attempt at Ggomas wall, and basically doing no damage. But amazingly Sunny is able to rebuilt his depot and has his factory well under way. Ggoma has lings constantly attacking his wall, but for some reason sends a bunch of SCVs back, and the wall falls. Many lings in his base, but his vult and ally lings support bring death to the invaders. He begins immediate work rebuilding the wall.

So at this point it's pretty even. Action in both of the Terran's bases. Zergs both look to be pumping lings still, not many sign of tech. Hanbit is gathering their armies outside of Ggomas base at 1. He's got 2 fact vults going, one shop researching something.

Sunny manages to get a port up quick and sends his first wraith straight to Silver's base. Kills a few drones before a spore is up for protection. Ggoma has a nice amount of vultures, and just helped his ally turn the tide of a ling battle.

Big battle at Clons, but Sunny comes in and saves him with a control group of vults. Ggoma's wall was not intact, and the vults and a few links make it inside, with only a Gol and tank to defend. Three Gols now, but almost all of his SCVs were picked off. Clon has been going Mutas now. Game looks in Hanbits favor right now.

Lings break into Sunny's base, later joined by the 3 Gols. Ally Mutas fly in just in time to save the majority of the SCVs. Both Zerg bases still functioning, but Ggomas base is done for.

And there it is! GG! And that's the game.

Hanbit takes it 4:2!

Queue the music, fireworks go off, the champagne comes out. Haha, HOT douses all his teammates with the bubbly as they run away. The Hanbit team all looks happy as they gather at the front of the stage, presumably for an after game interview. Hanbit players are all lined up, but PanTech players aren't there yet. Maybe they're only going to interview the winning team.

Well, that's it I guess. Ughh, what a messy post this is. Perhaps I will clean it up a little bit now. Sunny is talking right now, with a big smile on his face.

I guess I'll leave this post here fully intact for others to read later. Yikes it's 4am, no wonder this is so sloppy. This post is pretty long too, yikes. Guess people don't have to read it if they don't want to. On a last note, looks like Daezang get's the MVP award.

GG and Congrats to the OGN Sky Proleague Grand Final Champions, HanbitStars!
