3rd Seed (KT) vs 6th Seed (STX) 4th Seed (WJN) vs 5th Seed (KHAN)
Winner of 3/6 vs Winner of 4/5
Winner of previous match vs 2nd Seed (CJ)
Winner of previous match vs 1st Seed (SKT1)

KT isn't guaranteed to meet STX, depends on whether KHAN beats ACE in an hour or not.

Ahh I see, they're 25-28 with -14 game differentials, if they lose tonight they're going to drop to 25-29 with -14 which is worse than STX's 25-29 with -9.
Will update accordingly, 50% chance I don't have to do anything
On a related note, would Khan rather face Woongjin or KT? I guess we'll find out by the amount of trolling January decides to brew up tonight.

KT vs STX:
KT should win. STX really doesn't have anyone who can take a game from Flash. Kal really hasn't been performing well lately, and I don't think Calm could've taken a game off of Flash during his long past prime. This puts KT 2:0 over STX.
Stats has been doing great lately, but he should perform during the playoffs. I actually have great faith in Stats unless he meets Calm or Hero; even then, it should still be 50:50 at the very worst.
Action can take a game from almost any Protoss if he plays well, especially with the trendy 4 base 6 hatch play.
And there's always Hoejja, Crazy-Hydra and Perfective.

I think a lot of you are underestimating STX. They have their offdays, sure, but their full force is something to behold. Decent players of every race, a Bogus at his current peak and Calm and Kal slowly regaining momentum? I could see them going as far as CJ. I'm sure it won't be 2-0 KT, STX should at least take one game.

Does anyone know whether Flash will be playing against STX? Or will KT try to win without him?

As a Khan fan, I'm really anxious about facing Woongjin... We only beat them once in 6 rounds, their zerg line is really strong, and our strength is our Protoss line. Soulkey and Zero have both beaten Stork this season when he was in much better form than he is now. I hope that the new and improved Jangbi can step up and take one of them down, and that one of our other protosses can beat Light. If that happens I think Khan can win the series 4-2, but I don't like Khan's chances if it goes to ace.
Anyone know if the playoff format is the same as last year (bo3 bo7)? If it is, Khan has to do it twice which will be twice as hard
As for the other match, I think STX can take it if Kal or Calm (or better, both) steps up. Like Khan, I don't like their chances if it goes to ace, because even an injured Flash is good enough that he'll be favored against whoever STX sends out. The rest of KT has looked horrible recently... I can see a 4-2 or 4-1 for STX happening.

Have some confidence. You forgot about Reality and TurN. Those 2 are more than capable to putting dents in Zergs.

KTFlash gets to the final by his own.I'm rooting for KT but i think CJ have a much better lineup overall and might take the whole thing.

God please only one round of winners league next season. Winners league is nice but 2 rounds is just way way to much.

I have faith in our rookies being able to beat the rest of Stars, just not the big three. That's why I think if two of our big guns can take out two of theirs, the match will be ours 4-2. Khan is deeper than Woongjin for sure... I'm sure Reality, Brave, and Grape can beat Free, Really and Flying/GuemChi.
One thing that makes this match easier than most of our matches against Stars this season is the fact that C-H is gone. The more I think about it the more I think Khan can do it as long as none of the rookies crack under pressure. Hopefully January pulls another Miracle and gets them all winnable matchups.

CJ for the gold! I hope STX makes it out of the first round though.
|
hoping for a khan/stars victory but failing that probably cj
|
Ideally I'd like to see STX win it and I think they can definitely make it to 3rd place at least if they're in form. Otherwise I would like to see either CJ or WJN beat SKT1.
|
It depends entirely on whether Action, CH, Hoejja and Tempest decide to play well or not.
KT is a team where mediocrity doesn't apply. When they win they win big, and when they fail it looks like they're throwing games.
I hope to see KT in shanghai. Facing SKT. And beating them again like the last PL finals

Action chokes as usual Godhand saves the day Stats will suck until semis wherein he'll miraculously start beasting again Perfective slumping HARD, Barracks might squeeze a lucky one Crazy-Hydra too crazy (read: inconsistent) to predict, honestly not too high on him either
Overall I believe if KT makes it to CJ, they'll win the whole thing. Otherwise, they'll just sputter and flame out in another disappointing postseason.

More importantly they still have the MANTOSS.

OP needs to add a poll called:
"Where should the next PL finals take place?"
a. gwang-anri b. gwang-anri c gwang-anri d. gwang-anri
I agree that STX shouldn't be underestimated. Kal/calm remain as their excellent ace players and the rest of their regular players are quite solid. It's a terrible terrible shame they had to lose hwasin. STX could have had an ace lineup comparable to SKT1 - in other words, they could have been running at 1st or 2nd place.
