Any bets on it being Warcraft IV. As already stated in the article, Blizzard currently have Titan, Diablo 3, HOTS, LOTV and a number of expansions for WoW and Diablo 3. That pretty much leaves every Blizzard franchise covered except the Warcraft RTS. I cannot imagine Blizz will take risk on two new franchises at the same time with everything else that is going on with them. The odds of this being another new IP with Titan already taking care of that is 1 in a million.
Also, thanks to some news that came out earlier, we pretty much know that Warcraft IV is in the pipelines. That got leaked when Blizzard said that Warcraft IV will have a similar structure to Starcraft II.
I personally so badly want it to be Warcraft IV. Warcraft III is one of my favorite games of all time and that is despite me not playing online at all. It was just campaign and skirmishes and I had the sickest time of my life with that game.
It had, and still has, arguably the best campaign to grace any RTS in terms of story and gameplay. I will have massive boners if and when Blizzard announce Warcraft IV. It will be the kind of boners people got in Korea when SC2 was announced.
I really want to believe for WC4, after 6 years of WC3 it would be really nice, but I just can't seem them making it anytime soon with SC2 out, and its expansions
I would love for Blizzard to make another Warcraft RTS/RTT game where they experiment with new stuff like they did with WC3 and with SC2 and D3 being extremely back-to-basic having 1 experimental game seems reasonable.
However I think this job posting is simply an expansion or something like that, or possibly another non-MMO game set in the same game universe as their new "Titan" MMO that would help to establish it as a new franchise next to their 3 current ones. I'm really skeptical that Activision would allow another classic really fun and long lasting game like WC3 to be made when they really want a quick cash-in from the brand and franchise name power.
I don't see a need for a new warcraft RTS at least until SC2's expansions have been released and out for a couple of years. It's more likely they are going to go into new directions with FPS or other types of games.
I really hope it's an RTS. Blizzard are comparitively so good at RTS games I'd love to sink my teeth into another. If they could take some Starcraft style expertise into Warcraft I really feel it's the better game. The idea of a single hero leading an immense army is incredibly awesome to me they just haven't quite found the balance yet in their previous titles but it's certainly possible.
They might be hiring for Titan or future expansions for D3 and SC2. But if they will make Warcraft 4 i hope they remove the hero mechanic or atleast dont make heroes so important. I loved WC3 but the fact that you have to be nonstop creeping and leveling your hero really ruined it for me :S
SC2 isn't even done yet as it's missing two expansions; I doubt they want War4 to come out and directly compete against SC2. I mean, SC2 did the unthinkable and 'merged' the two communities to an extent. Although given Blizzard's history of development cycles, chances are if it's War4 we won't even see screenshots for many, many years; by then SC2's third expansion should be out and its competitive base largely stable.
It seems insane to release War4 with SC2 still ongoing thus splitting your userbase. It might be simply be an adaptation of a current game. E.G Wow-Brazil or an extension of an existing I.P.
I'm thinking that the unannounced game is the mysterious Titan that's been in the works forever. I mean, I wouldn't consider it officially "announced" yet, as we know next to nothing about the game, and "Titan" itself is probably only a code name.

Releasing a War4 might see potential, there's a big big amount of people out there who are mighty fans of the Warcraf lore (Going back to the wc1/wc2 times and now with WoW as well) and would probably buy it even if they've never touched SC2 before. Also, I wouldnt think that the two games would necessarily split the userbase, but rather futher expand it to reach out to more people.
But, knowing Blizzard all too well, and given the +10 years of time that they usually put up between their titles...well we'll see. I'd die of happiness if Wc4 was announced though. But on the realistic side of things, not likely.
I have no idea what they could possibly cover in WC4 that is left in the warcraft universe that has been left untouched by WoW...anyone have any guesses?
I'm hoping the mystery project is for the SC2 project codenamed Phoenix and that the Phoenix project will actually be a re-vamped SC Ghost game. Cleverly nicknamed Phoenix because it will rise from the ashes ;p.

And everyone saying that it's Titan, READ the article. It says the job listing is specifically hiring for a new game NOT Titan
I still think it's Titan regardless of what that article says, Blizzard is probably just trying to act sneaky.

Yeh, I actually followed up on the article and looked at the rest of the listings in the directory. Gamespot has a history of writing sneaky and misleading news. There really isn't any concrete evidence saying that this new unannounced title isn't Titan.

They could do it just to appeal to users that do not like SC2... Seems farfetched but you never know.

This. x1000
I remember getting so mad when I was like 12 and I read about World of Warcraft being developed in a gamer magazine. I was like "WHERE IS WORLD OF STARCRAFT?" I naturally liked starcraft better than wc2.
