EPTThe World Cyber Games USA have started with their own preliminaries. At 3 different places there will be held tourmaments where the numbers 1 and 2 will win tickets to the finals in New York City.
This weekend there was a preliminary in Texas. Louder and Artosis managed to play theirselves to the top 2 and will be going to NYC.
One week ago a preliminary in California was held. Froz and Marshallfaulk won and advance to the finals. Next week there will be 2 more tickets to win.
WCG invited 4 players to come straight to the finals without having to earn a seed in 1 of the preliminaries. Those 4 players were selected based on their CompUSA results and were: Whear, Froz, Wizard and Assem. They 'only' got a seed in the final tournament, which means they would have to pay the trip themselves. Therefor Froz declined and tried to win himself a paid trip by qualifying in California, which turned out to be the right decision.
So the finalists will be Whear, Assem, Wizard, Froz, Faulk, Artosis, Louder and 2 others.
