SCE #1 - Starcraft Charity Events

The tournament starts on the following day(s) at the following times:

* USA (PST) ~ 9 am Saturday (January 29th, 2011) & 9 am Sunday (January 30th, 2011)

* USA (EST) ~ 12 pm Saturday (January 29th, 2011) & 12 pm Sunday (January 30th, 2011)

* Central Europe (CET) ~ 17 Saturday (January 29th, 2011) & 17 Sunday (January 30th, 2011)

* Korea (KST) ~ Korea, Seoul – 02:00 am Sunday (January 30th, 2011) & 02:00 Monday (January 31st, 2011)

* China (CST) ~ Hong Kong – 01:00 am Sunday (January 30th, 2011) & 01:00 am Monday (January 31st, 2011)

* Japan (JST) ~ Tokyo – 02:00 am Sunday (January 30th, 2011) & 02:00 am Monday (January 31st, 2011)

All money prizes are paid within a week of winning - Paypal is REQUIRED to receive monetary prizes.

1st Place: $170; 7H headset + mousepad; GG Button (Total Value of 1st Place: $337 USD)
2nd Place: $80; 5hv2 headset + mousepad; GG Button (Total Value of 2nd Place: $217 USD)
3rd Place: $50; Kinzu mouse + mousepad; GG Button (Total Value of 3rd Place: $122 USD)
Do to the fact that we are unsure on the exact mousepads they are giving to 1st-3rd place, the value price could be off by about $20 usd.

* Do not be ill mannered, bad mannered or rude to anyone involved in the tournament. Doing so will result in a disqualification, upon decision of how bad the situation was from the Tournament Admins. We ask that all players remain respectful during the matches. Please treat others as you would like to treat you.

* Observers are not allowed in during the games, to help ensure a fair play. The only observers allowed into a match are the ones who are streaming/hosting the tournament. If you are confused as to who those people are, please refer to are "WHO" section. Thanks.

* Any cheating or hacking will result in an automatic disqualification and a permanent suspension from all of our current and future events. There will be no second time.

* If a person makes a false accusation, reports a false win or any other form of wasting our time - We will stop the tournament to disqualify the said player and remove them for a 3 month period from all SCE Tournaments.

* During round 1, players may choose one of the following races to play: Protoss, Zerg, Terran or Random. Once you have picked one of these races and used it in round one, you are not allowed to use another race during that tournament.

* The minute a round starts - the players have 15 minutes to start their matches. If a player does not show up for their match with in 15 minutes, it will be considered a forfeit and the other player will get a bye. (Any exceptions require prior SCE Staff approval)

* All players must allow Tesla or Ipp to stream your match, if we ask.

* Pause Game: A player doesn't need to agree for the game to be paused. He can unpause at any time. Though this is frowned upon and looks like bad manners.

* In cases of disconnection the following will be done:
1.) For rounds with a best of one, if a disconnect occurs, the player that had the advantage to win/(end) the game at the time of disconnected will be declared the winner based on factors at the discretion of the admin(s.
- In the case of multiple disconnects due to forces outside of the control of players or the SCE Staff, this rule is subject to admin discretion

2.) For rounds with a best out of three or best out of five, if a disconnect occurs, the following will be done:
- A: Whomever had a clear advantage to win in the game, at the time of disconnect, will be given the win based on factors at the discretion of the admin(s).
- B: If the game was a stalemate, then the game must be replayed.
- C: If a player was in a match and the match was 7 minutes or less, and a player disconnects - The game must be a rematch.
- D. If the players were given the right to decide by the tournament admins, then the first decision would set the precedence by which procedure will be followed if another disconnect should occur later in the series by either player.
- In the case of multiple disconnects due to forces outside of the control of players or the SCE Staff, these rules are subject to admin discretion

* Finally but not least - We ask that all players send the replays to: iccuptesla@gmail.com. Please make sure to send in the replays so we may put together a replay packet for those who missed the tournament. Thank you.

Rules are subject to change; Please pay attention to this as we reserve the right to not notify players if/when the rules change. We also reserve the right to decline a player from participating in the tournament for any given reason, at any given time (Though this is unlikely to occur)

1. You expressly absolve and release the SCE staff from any claim of harm resulting from a cause beyond the SCE staff's control, including, but not limited to, failure of electronic or mechanical equipment or communication lines, telephone or other connection problems, computer viruses, unauthorized access, theft, operator errors, severe weather, earthquakes, or natural disasters, strikes, or other labor problems, wars, or governmental restrictions.

2. YOU EXPRESSLY UNDERSTAND AND AGREE THAT THE SCE STAFF, ITS SUBSIDIARIES AND AFFILIATES, ADVERTISERS, AND ITS LICENSORS SHALL NOT BE LIABLE TO YOU FOR: (A) ANY DIRECT, INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL OR EXEMPLARY DAMAGES WHICH MAY BE INCURRED BY YOU, HOWEVER CAUSED AND UNDER ANY THEORY OF LIABILITY. THIS LIMITATION OF LIABILITY SHALL INCLUDE, BUT NOT BE LIMITED TO, ANY LOSS OF PROFIT (WHETHER INCURRED DIRECTLY OR INDIRECTLY), ANY LOSS OF GOODWILL OR BUSINESS REPUTATION, ANY LOSS OF DATA SUFFERED, COST OF PROCUREMENT OF SUBSTITUTE GOODS OR SERVICES, OR OTHER INTANGIBLE LOSS; (B) ANY LOSS OR DAMAGE WHICH MAY BE INCURRED BY YOU, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO LOSS OR DAMAGE AS A RESULT OF: (I) ANY RELIANCE PLACED BY YOU ON THE COMPLETENESS, ACCURACY OR EXISTENCE OF THE SERVICES; (II) ANY CHANGES WHICH SCE STAFF MAY MAKE TO THE SERVICES, OR FOR ANY PERMANENT OR TEMPORARY CESSATION IN THE PROVISION OF THE SERVICES (OR ANY FEATURES WITHIN THE SERVICES); (III) THE DELETION OF, CORRUPTION OF, OR FAILURE TO STORE, ANY CONTENT AND OTHER COMMUNICATIONS DATA MAINTAINED OR TRANSMITTED BY OR THROUGH YOUR USE OF THE SERVICES; (III) YOUR FAILURE TO PROVIDE Minerva Staff WITH ACCURATE INFORMATION; OR (IV) YOUR FAILURE TO KEEP YOUR PASSWORD OR ACCOUNT DETAILS SECURE AND CONFIDENTIAL. THE LIMITATIONS ON THE SCE STAFF LIABILITY TO YOU IN THIS SUBSECTION SHALL APPLY WHETHER OR NOT THE Minerva Staff HAS BEEN ADVISED OF OR SHOULD HAVE BEEN AWARE OF THE POSSIBILITY OF ANY SUCH LOSS.

3. BECAUSE SOME JURISDICTIONS DO NOT ALLOW THE EXCLUSION OR LIMITATION OF LIABILITY FOR CONSEQUENTIAL OR INCIDENTAL DAMAGES, THE ABOVE LIMITATION MAY NOT APPLY. NOTWITHSTANDING THE FOREGOING, TOTAL LIABILITY OF THE SCE STAFF FOR ANY REASON WHATSOEVER RELATED TO USE OF THE SERVICES SHALL NOT EXCEED THE TOTAL AMOUNT PAID BY TO YOU BY THE SCE STAFF IN CONNECTION WITH THE SUBJECT MATTER OF THE PARTICULAR DISPUTE.

11 INDEMNITY

1. You agree to defend, indemnify, and hold harmless The SCE Staff and all of its respective employees, agents, directors, officers, shareholders, attorneys, successors, and assigns from and against any and all claims, proceedings, damages, injuries, liabilities, losses, costs, and expenses (including reasonable attorneys’ fees and litigation expenses) relating to or arising from any breach by you of this TOS.
