.. and the winner is: SAMSUNG KHAN HELLZYEAH

-----

(P)Brave, (T)TurN: "It feels awesome to extend the winning streak."
"I want to appear in an ace match while riding on a winning streak."

Left: Turn, Right: Brave

On November 6th, Brave and Turn combined for a season total of 11 wins and led their team into another victory.

Q & A:

- Your winning streaks continue.
Brave: It's my first time playing a televised match on Grand Line SE this season. During practice games, I felt that Protoss has an edge in this map - so I knew that as long as I believed in myself, I would win.
Turn: It feels awesome to extend the winning streak. I didn't expect to win this many in a row, so I'm just as amazed as everyone else.

- Most memorable match during the streak?
Brave: The match against (P)Flying. I came back from a severe disadvantage somehow.
Turn: The match against (T)Really comes to my mind. One good counterattack sealed an exciting win for me.

- Today's strategy was excellent.
Brave: This was suggested by (P)SorrOw, a practice partner (a B-teamer). He optimized the build and taught me how to use it. I fully trusted it to work against a Zerg opponent. The opportunity came today, so I used it and won! Thanks [Sorrow]~

- You played when the score was 2:2.
Turn: When the score is 2:2, the 5th set is obviously important. I felt the weight on my shoulder and used it to motivate myself.

- Most of the Terrans in the team are quite young.
Turn: That's true, and because we're mostly comprised of rookies and B-teamers, it fuels competition amongst us and thus we practice extra, extra hard. I can't really think of a disadvantage of not having a senior Terran player right now (laughs). [T/N: the seniors in anything, like teams/army/company/whatever, tend to be bossy in Korea]

- Did you want to appear in the ace match?
Brave: I want to appear in an ace match while riding on a winning streak. I actually wanted to go out today but I know there are plenty more opportunities to come.
Turn: It seems a little too early for me. Perhaps later in the season, the coach will give me a chance.

- You have solidified your position in the team's main entry.
Brave: Before, the players were notified of their entry after the coaching staff made their decisions. Now, the entire team gathers to discuss how we should form our entry. Still, I am not at the caliber of the older players [T/N: most likely referring to Stork and JangBi] so I will continue to improve through practice.

- Last words:
Brave: Thanks again to Sorrow for teaching me the build. Payday is not far away so just wait! [T/N: perhaps Brave will be buying delicious food for Sorrow lol]
Turn: Thanks to (T)Sharp, (T)Kop, (T)Always, (Z)ByuL, (P)SorrOw, (T)Reality, (Z)By.hOpe, and (Z)Juni for practising with me.

-----

(Z)great, (P)Stork: "As senior players, we feel the responsibility."
"Our victories so far are largely due to the performance of younger players."

Left: Stork, Right: Great

On November 6th, Great and Stork each earned a win and sealed a victory for the team.

Q & A:

- First thoughts on winning today:
Great: I'm happy that I opened today's match with a win. We took set 2 also, so I thought that we'd take this one easy at that point - but as you know, we lost a few of the next sets so in the end, it was really close. It was a thrilling victory. Of course we want to win as comfortably as possible, but I think for the fans, these kind of back-and-forth games are more fun to watch.
Stork: My first two games after IEF were losses. I despaired after losing the game against Backho, but I'm glad I got a chance to redeem myself at the end.

- You continue to utilize drop attacks.
Great: I wasn't so negatively affected by the recent loss [T/N: epic game vs. (P)Bisu]. After that game, all my teammates said it was a great game despite the loss, so I didn't feel too bad. Still, I wanted to show that I can succeed with drop attacks, so I tried it again and it worked today.

- Will you continue to use drops?
Great: In my opinion, drop attacks are not all-in attacks. It's an opportunistic strategy, and should the opportunity rise, I will use it again. I think other Zergs might use it more too. Some of the games in SPL have been rather dry and dull lately, so I hope the games will become more exciting and enjoyable for both the players and the fans.

- It was a narrow loss.
Stork: I didn't expect to play against a Protoss, and his build was different from mine. There was one timing window where I had a good chance, but I missed it. I was disappointed at myself for playing rather sloppy. Khan-Protoss-Fighting!

- Did you feel a lot of pressure when you were selected as the ace player?
Stork: Not so much. It was a Protoss-favoured map, and I expected to play (Z)Jaedong anyways. I was ready.

- You used an extreme strategy.
Stork: It's a risky strategy - the outcome of the match is pretty much determined by how well it works. I was hoping that Jaedong never practiced against such an aggressive strategy. I managed to take down quite a few zerglings and drones, so from then on I knew I had the upper hand.

- Younger players in your team are performing really well lately.
Stork: I have more losses than wins right now... our victories so far are largely due to the performance of the younger players. I hope that senior players can step it up so we can perform well together.
Great: It's astonishing to witness the results Turn and Brave are achieving. In practice, I always tease our Terran players for their lackluster plays, but they are amazing in televised matches. Their wins will help us move up higher in the team rankings.

- The Khan Protoss Duo (Stork and Jangbi) seem to have slowed down.
Stork: The opponents we're facing are playing so well. I find it hard to ride a solid winning streak as a Protoss player anyway. There's bound to be bad times as well as good times, so I know that we can get back on the winning curve soon.

- How was your experience in China?
Stork: There weren't any major difficulties - no jet lag, and I mostly ate Korean food there anyway. On the way back from IEF, I visited the place where the recent Korean Air OSL S2 Finals was held. I felt this... strange feeling, you know. Somehow, I think I understand better about why people travel to foreign countries in general.

- Any last words?
Great: Thanks to all the players for helping me prepare, and happy birthday Juni!
Stork: Today's Juni's birthday. Happy birthday man~

Translator's comments:
Happy birthday Juni!!!
TurN is turning out to be one of the most entertaining players to watch nowadays. Even the commentators are amazed and amused by his hyper-aggressive style. Watch the match (vs. Hiya) and just feel the adrenaline!
Brave seems to really care for his practice partners. Very considerate guy, always gives credits to where it's due.
Great had a great game against Bisu... god I might watch that again before I sleep. Glad he used the experience from that game to win today's game.
STORK I LUV U MANG freaking baller he challenges Jaedong to a micro-duel and ends up winning... epic epic epic EPIC.
I'm glad to hear that the entire Khan team is discussing entries together, hope that translates to good results!

The atmospheere was great today, I think everyone really enjoyed themselfs. Big turn out and a nice ballance of fans cheering for both teams. the last 2 games where so entertaining which lead to some very loud fan girl screaming.

Only bumer is that the big turn out and me been late meant I was miles away and couldn't take any really good pictures. (also my camera sucks, might buy a better one at some point)

Must have been exciting, with the ace match.

Were there empty seats at all? How full was it?

There where empty seats about maybe 20% but they all had stuff on them which to me implied they where taken or people where claiming them in some manner, there where like 5 guys who had to or chose to stand.

Great games, good times. Wish Oz had won but perhaps Khan deserved to really.

Great games.

Also, at the beginning of the season i was getting worried about low turnout at games, but then i remembered that most of the games i was watching were taking place at 1 on a weekday. Glad to see they're getting good turnout on the weekends.
I cheer for underdogs and Flash
