Wicked, we're started :D

Can I just ask that people keep 'pointless' posting to a minimum. If it's got anything to do with the game, post away - but pure banter is the last thing i want to wade through when I log on after work in Australian time zone (read: 16 pages instantly). That being said:

To the references of Jack-O-Lantern clues:
Jack 'O Lantern - You are the Jack 'O Lantern! You are a mad bomber who has been obsessed with pumpkins since you moved to Liquidvania. You love to hide bombs in pumpkins and put them in peoples houses for fun. If you are killed, your pumpkins will detonate killing any player they were placed on. You can place up to 2 pumpkins and can switch 1 pumpkin from night to night. You can place both pumpkins at any time you wish during the night by PMing the names of players you want to place pumpkins on. You also like to wear a pumpkin on your face so you are often mistaken for a monster.

This was from the OP as a role in the game - I highly doubt it's a clue pertaining to someones profile and more than having the name 'fat tony' would indicate someone is mafia.

Also; overlooked clue:
From the murder of Incognito

It became clearer to him as he made his way to the back that the sound was music and he guessed it was coming from a computer that hadn't powered off.

AirbladeOrange and Seraph both have music videos linked in their profiles. I originally looked up people who mentioned music they like but between lyrics, videos and artists, it's like... 15

"townie like us" seems to me that you are trying to make the players feel you are one of the townies. Why would someone who is a townie want to try and appear to be a townie?

Perhaps because he doesn't want to be lynched within one day of play - particularly if he's telling the truth?

I don't quite understand it LSB, but as pointed out, that's pretty much GG with the Vampire Brute.

I don't think the vampires will use the brute this early in the game because it is a huge disadvantage to them because they have very little people with special powers. In addition, the brute's ability is super effective in the late game when there are less people. By using the brute, the vampires are dwindling down their numbers this early in the game and we also get to learn who the brute was and we could target down additional vampires.

Just another thing for the ghost to think about when they are pondering about saving me or not.

If you read the plan LSB highlighted, it has a coordination of every blue protective/investigative role checking ONE person on the first night. Unless it was a massive fake-out (which would also be extremely hard to do with scum trying to throw town off) there'd be no reason for the vampires not to use the Brute and knock out all protective blues and take free hits on other players.

Collateral from the JoL would be a small price to pay for half the blues dead in 1 hit. Furthermore, vamps could still stand to gain if it turns out Masq/Vedril (whichever you're spiking) is also mafia. Considering they'll know if your target is Vampire or not, they could then weigh it up with the knowledge that masq/vedril look like they're both going to die from town votes / reapers.

We've already gathered that the plan isn't a good idea though, so I'll stop pressing it.

Smart Mafia wouldn't attack vel. There's too much chance of a boogeyman on him imo. Besides, I wouldn't be surprised if voting goes hot for him next day, so they can afford to spend KP somewhere else and let the town deal with it. That not only means they're more efficient with KP, but town won't catch wind of Mafia and lynch one of them instead.

Disagree.

Treat Veld as money in the bank imo. If we get some nice clues tonight, we'll have a wealth of information provided from the discussion and lynch result of the new cuplrit(s), otherwise we can go back and lynch veld without fear of accidentally hitting a towny. Only problem with lynching veld, is we don't get any more information for the following lynches - more information is good. Also, if we're getting successful lynches off and manage to snag Mafia, they'll be forced to take vel out themselves after several rounds to limit Vamp KP. Thats IF he's still alive.

You are trying to placate BM by agreeing that his accusations were reasonable. This is an attempt to get on his good side. It is possible that you could make the same mistakes Misder did, and, even if you recognized that you did, you are trying to convince him that you wouldn't make these mistakes.

I am tagging you as a red. You are trying too hard to appear innocent. Well, my dear friend, there is no such thing as innocence, just varying degrees of guilt.

Side note: While the clues from the murders are important, I believe the discussions and peoples' reactions will reveal more to us.[/QUOTE]

What's wrong with my pointing out a logical paradox?

If you're town you're going to act town.
If you're scrum, you're going to act town.

Saying someone is scum for acting town is downright dumb

Speculation, but Looking at the clues from bumatlarge's murder:

Somewhere deep in the town, bumatlarge was sitting alone at a bar at midnight. He wasn't alone, there was another man sitting in the corner. The man stared at bum, making him nervous and jittery. As he started pounding down more drinks the man approached him. He was thin and gaunt, he appeared to be a scholar of some sort. The man finally spoke

"Excuse me sir, I believe you've had too much to drink. Do you need a ride home?"

I flicked through people's profiles and found this in one of the videos from seRapH's profile:

I was originally trying to look for something to link the Whiskey and NB's death, but being drunk matches Bumatlarge's death description very accurately. IF this means anything, we'll be looking at a mafia instead of vampire kill. This is a BIG "IF"

The obvious link on the surface here is the whole drinking/drunk theme, though to look at it more closely:

What convinces me more than anything is that:
-'hit' is a mafia term, while the victim was a vampire
-The description says the man waited and watched the victim 'pounding down more drinks' and the song uses the primer "after you've been..."
-Again the tense "While" you were drunk from the video matches "as he started..."

What I don't like:
This totally ignores "He was thin and gaunt, he appeared to be a scholar of some sort" as far as I can see which looks like an important clue. Perhaps a herring?
I feel the tense speculation is over-analyzing.

Don't jump your conclusion yet. There are several reasons that I did not die on Night 2.

1. A ghost protected me.
2. I have been poisoned, therefore will be death the next night.

4. Bum and Youngminii and LSB are better target to kill than me, because they fervently wanted me to get lynched on day 1.
5. It is better to get me lynched than wasting night action/kill on me, especially when many people suspecting me as a vampire.

How do you know you are poisoned? As far as the rules go, the mod never informs you if you're poisoned - only if you die of the poison. DrH can confirm this.

Such lies can only serve to hurt the town by asking the ghost to protect you. What do you have to hide?

Each number in that list is a possibility, not a certainty orgolove.
