Heads up for anyone who lives in/near the above.
A good friend of mine is opening a new LAN centre in the Centre of Edinburgh. Knowing him it will be a great place to be.
If you are interested you can check his webby here.
LAN Centres around the UK seem to be always closing down rather than opening so please give support if you can.
Thanks.

I'm a student in St Andrews, which is 1,5h away from Edinburgh and my best friend goes to Edinburgh University, and well Edinburgh is an amazing city so I'll be around, not making any promises visiting the exact place. (well mainly because I never promise anything unless i'm 100% sure)

Thanks for the reply chap. That would be a bit of a treck but if your friend is into gaming maybe you could give him the heads up ![](/mirror/smilies/smile.gif)

It's really close where his studies are- computer science, though he's very much not into gaming

What sort of prices does it have? In Aberdeen but occasionally visit edinburgh and know a bunch of people that live there.
Will there be SC2 LAN's there? Cause that's actually a justifiable trip for me 0.0

I live in Edinburgh at the moment, that LAN cafe is going to be really close to where I work! Exciting news...I can get my SC2 fix on something other than a netbook now!
|
It's a couple hours by train for me but that's certainly justifyable if any SC2 tournaments or events happen. Wish him good luck. We used to have a LAN centre for a few years and it was a great atmosphere.

I know they will be hosting SC2 LANs after they are open in a short while. I may even truck up from Oxford for some SC2 LAN action :D
I do not know their pricing pans as yet.
Please sign up on their forums and let them know what you would like to see from them.

Living in Glasgow atm so its a bit inconvenient but I'd definetly hit up some LAN events!

Living in Edinburgh, can we make a happening or something. could you ask your friend

nice man, been toying with the idea my self to open one in liverpool. it'd be a dream but i personally dont see it as a reliable source of income. you'll find the type of people that play sc2 are the same kind of people who only venture out when completely nessecary

D-lite, I think in general you need to draw the gamers to you by having some unique event or having a community build around it. That is what boomtown have done in Denmark with Huge succes.

Smurg and Homeland, I live in Edinburgh, this place is just round the corner from my friend's house, I'm up for some kind of meeting and I know some people who would be too. Who's up for it? ^^

We should get wolfstar to organise since it is his friend. But I would be interested
