Where: European Battle.net
Why: To help novices enter into a tournament scene, and help them with there game.
Requirements: Gold or lower
Information: (A lot of changes.)
The tournament is now a 64 Player Single Elimination tournament, With a bo1 until the quarter finals (Ro4) Which will be Bo3, And the semi-finals, Which will also be Bo3, with a Bo5 finals at the end.
The reason behind this is to give novices a taste of real tournaments, as well as to boost their confidence and help them become better players..
This tournament will just be for fun, it is mostly to give people a taste of the competitive scene, there will be no prize pool (There might be in later tournaments, but for now, there wont be one.)
You must be on the IRC Quakenet #Euronovice before the start of the tournament at 18:00 CET, or else you will be unable to participate in the tournament.
Rules:

1: No cheating - If you think someone is cheating contact an admin on IRC or in-game, Send a replay, and an admin will make a decision and action will be taken depending on that decision.
2: You must start your games at 18:00 CET, and be on IRC before you do, you must be on IRC to play in this tournament. If you opponent doesn't arrive in time for your game you may be given a Bye, or a replacement opponent.
3: You must play your games within 15 minutes of them being announced, otherwise your opponent is given a Bye and advances to the next round. In a Bo3/5 match after 15 minutes your opponent is given a win, and after another 10 given another win. (Meaning in a bo3 match, 25 minutes = Loss for the person who didn't show up, and 15 minutes = 1:0 to the person waiting.)
4: In case of a disconnect the match must be replayed, unless one player had a massive advantage (To be decided by an admin via replay)
5: If this is casted and the caster or me, decides that your game will be cast, you must accept, this is so that there will never be a round that is not casted.
6: The following builds are banned - why this rule? Mostly it's because most low-level players (From experience, and personal observations) do these builds because they believe it'll win them the game, or they use them because they cant do much else, as this is to give them a competitive feel, I would like for this not to happen.
6-9 pool
Cannon Rush (Unless helping out with an attack, such as mothership rush.)
Bunker Rush (Except with reapers or countering for whatever reason.)
Spine Crawler Rush
Building inside or next to opponents base (Proxy is fine, for example you may build a pylon in your opponents base, but not a gateway.)
7: You must use the race you signed up as throughout the entire tournament (We have decided to change this rule)
8: The loser of a game must contact an admin in-game or on IRC to say they lost.

Now I know this sounds strict, but that's because it is.. If people feel restricted by this, don't join tournaments.
To sign up, simply post your Name+Identifier, what league you are in, and the race you wish to use.
Note: If you get promoted please notify me, if you are promoted to platinum, due to a poll carried out in the European Novice Cup #2 you may no longer compete, Apologies for the inconvenience.
