Topics in TL's forums are each vying for the attention of our visitors here. The mods' goal is to help ensure that the best (most interesting, most useful, most likely to spur productive discussion) topics don't get lost in a sea of crappy topics. One simple way to make things easy to find / cut down on crappy topics is to close threads that are redundant. There are people that want redundant threads closed — I'd guess a majority of forumgoers would prefer consolidated discussion, if only for their own convenience and to make the forums easier to use. Just because these people aren't posting in redundant topics saying "DON'T DISCUSS THIS ANYMORE" does not mean that these people don't exist. | ||
