Many koreans argue over westerners saying it's cruel to eat dogs when westerners(americans) eat horse meat.

I'm korean and haven't tried dog meat yet but I would sure like to try once if I get a chance.

Well.. Me having 4 dogs, 2 of which has had puppies.. I can't really see myself eating them

Then again, I'm a vegetarian so I personally don't eat meat at all ^_^ (If anyone feels like smashing the maddox rant about vegetarians in my face, I've got this to say: what do you prefer? cannibalism or murder?).

I don't really think there's anything different with eating dog to eating other pets and I don't condemn people eating meat

Just I don't want to +_+

humm im not aware of any wide spread horse eating here in the us but maybe they do i happen to be vegaterian so i just stay away from all meats though i do eat eggs and chesse (dairy products)

On topic, now, for me, I object to eating dogs, because in the society I live in, we keep them as pets, and as friends; we see them as having rights.

However, that being said, it may be different in another culture (e.g. Korea), as they may have looked upon dogs as food from the dawn of their times. I can't object to that, if it is their own tradition.

Dog meat is not that popular or widespread in Korea. Only idiot assholes who love exaggerating try to spread that rumor. The dogs you are thinking aren't even the dogs they use to make it. They use the crappiest dogs to make their food. Not a 10k Yorkie for some dog rice roll. Bitching about eating dogs is just as stupid as calling Americans fat. There is some truth to it but the people who talk about it don't know anything about what they're talking about.

Anyways, I don't see anything wrong with it. Its all about different countries traditions.

What do you mean 'crappiest dogs' to make it? Mutts? My dog is the best dog in the world, and a mutt.

Anyways, dogs have personality. They are smarter, more fun, and more useful than many people. For me to be tolerant of eatting dogs I'd have to be tolerant of cannibalism.

dog, chickens, cows etc.. are all animals, they are not more special than other animals, if u can eat cows, chickens, y not dogs? chickens can be pets, same with cows, except they r too big to handle. so my point is, if they are animal, then u can eat it, theres no crime invovled.

Yeah that's how I feel PERSONALLY too -_-~ But really, it's no different from eating other meat -- Which I do dislike as well -_-~ For example, I could never eat rabbit--;; I had the most gosu rabbit ever -_-+ Scared all our dogs :D

i just wanted to say yes most americans are FAT srry Heen but its true if u generilize the whole population. we eat more per meal than the avarege person not of this country(ie serving size way to big) we dont exercise enough if at all and we spend way to much time worried whats goin on else where then trying to improve ourselfs and our enviroment gogog usa we are so smart.
and just so u know my wife is getting her doctrets in nutritanal science so yes i do know a few things about "fat americans" be it as it may from a 3rd party source

actually we humans basically eat everything . chinese were the first to eat dog meat i believe.the korean pick up later. japanese eat dolphin meat.
some insects,bear paw,elephant trunk, monkey brain,turtle ,
these are considered asian delicacies..

i myself i have eaten dog meat,bear paw,snake ,frog,crocodile meat,shark fin and shark meat, ostrich meat.
i live in malaysia , a multicultural country.
