Q: How do you feel about your first R4 victory?
A: First, I lost in the past match and I’m happy that I won after getting another chance. It’s similar to when I won my first game.
Q: You prepared a 2-Hatch Hydra
A: Because I scouted Protoss early, I felt that it would work as long as I prevented him from scouting me. I prepared a lot of builds and I chose one out of the ones I practiced.
Q: You made all the Cannons unpowered by destroying one Pylon
A: Although I can’t be too sure, I think I would have won if I just went for the Cannons too. However, when I killed his 3 Zealots, Protoss should not have been able to block my attack but because of my little mistake, I couldn’t end it right away.
Q: Your team hasn’t been doing well with new players
A: It feels stuffy because of that but I have no idea why. Everyone plays well during practice, but I think they are having problems getting used to televised matches.
Q: You appeared for the ace match last time
A: I was doing well with the build order but because I was 1-searched, I lost easily. I felt like crying during the game. Whenever I played a ZvZ, the opponent always found me first so it was regretting.
Q: Your goal for this season
A: I don’t have a set goal but I want to win every game that I get to play.
Q: Anything else?
A: Our manager received 5 straight losses after his 99th victory, but after achieving the 100th win today, I want to thank him for giving me another chance after my last loss. I also want to thank my teammates for helping me practice.

- 4라운드 첫 승을 거둔 소감은
▲ 일단 지난 경기에서 졌는데 다시 기회를 받은 경기에서 이겨서 기쁘다. 맨 처음 이겼을 때의 기분과 비슷한 것 같다.
- 2해처리 히드라 올인을 준비했는데
▲ 프로토스 본진을 빨리 봐서 정찰만 잘 차단하면 통할 것 같았다. 여러 가지 빌드를 준비했지만 그 중에 하나를 사용한 것이다.
- 파일런 하나를 파괴해서 캐논을 모두 마비시켰다
▲ 장담할 수는 없어도 그냥 캐논을 깼어도 이길 수 있었을 것 같다. 하지만 원래 첫 질럿 3기를 잡았을 때 프로토스가 절대 막지 못하는 거였는데 내가 약간 실수해서 처음에 끝내지 못했다.
- 팀의 세대교체가 잘 안되고 있는데
▲ 우리 팀이 신인이 많이 나오지 않고 있어서 답답한데 왜 그런지는 모르겠다. 연습 때는 다들 잘하는데 방송에서는 잘 적응이 안 되는 것 같다.
- 지난 번에 에이스결정전에 출전했었는데
▲ 그 때 빌드만 보면 괜찮은 상황이었는데 첫 서치를 당해서 변수가 없이 무난하게 지는 상황이 나왔다. 게임을 하면서도 울고 싶을 정도였다. 저그전을 하면서 단 한 번도 먼저 정찰한 적이 없고 늘 첫 서치를 당하는 편이었다. 너무 아쉬웠다.
- 이번 시즌 목표가 있다면
▲ 구체적인 목표가 있는 것은 아니지만 내가 나오게 된다면 꼭 이기고 싶다.
- 하고 싶은 말이 있다면
▲ 감독님이 99승에서 5연패를 하셨는데 연패를 끊으면서 100승을 하셔서 축하 드리고 지난 번에 패했는데 오늘 또 다시 기회를 주셔서 감사 드린다. 또 연습할 때 도와준 팀원들이 많은데 고맙다는 말을 전하고 싶다.

Q: How do you feel about your first R4 victory?
A: After appearing for R1 and R2, I couldn’t get any win during R3 and although I didn’t get my first R4 win until now, I’m glad that I became a part of breaking the team’s losing streak.
Q: You smiled while chatting with
RuBy before the gameA: He told me to go easy. He thinks of me as an easy opponent during practice and because he was talking highly of me right before the match, I did the same to him and it was funny to me. Honestly, I was confident that I would be able to win today against anyone but it felt a little weird because my opponent was Ruby. Ruby seems like he’s losing a lot these days, but I want him to win.
Q: You played a good game
A: I couldn’t do as well as I planned because I haven’t played in a while. I was going to play according to the situation and felt that Carriers were good.
Q: Why were you slumping until now?
A: I didn’t play well and the game didn’t play out according to my thoughts. I was practicing diligently and I finally got a chance today so I’ll try my best to win from now.
Q: Although it’s in the past, it must have been disappointing after Winner’s League finals
A: It was the worst. The placement was bad and because it was before Road Runner was patched, I didn’t get good amount of resources. I had to force out my strategy out of nothing. It would have been faster if we spawned next to each other. I’m saying this because I’m close to
Flash, but I think he got lucky (laughs). Everyone who knew of Flash said that he would win the leagues and it really became like that. His force is amazing.Q: How do you feel about people saying MBC Protoss is weak?
A: People were saying that a lot for a while, but Jaehoon plays really well during practice. I will try my hardest in order that people don’t say it anymore.
Q: Anything else?
A: I just got my first R4 win so I will try my best to win every time I get a chance to play and I hope we go on a winning streak. MBCGame Hero fighting!

- 4라운드 첫 승을 거둔 소감은
▲ 1, 2라운드까지 나오다가 3라운드에서 1승도 못하고 4라운드에서도 이제서야 1승을 거뒀지만 그 1승이 팀 연패를 끊는데 도움이 된 것 같아 기분 좋다.
- 민찬기와 경기 전에 웃으면서 채팅하던데
▲ 살살해 달라고 그러더라. 연습 때는 속으로는 나를 껌으로 생각하면서 왜 나를 과대평가하는가 하는 생각에 나도 마찬가지로 띄워주면서 얘기했는데 그냥 웃겼다. 사실 오늘은 누구를 만나도 자신 있었는데 그 대상이 찬기 형이라서 좀 그랬다. 찬기 형이 요즘 굉장히 많이 지는 걸로 아는데 좀 이겼으면 좋겠다.
- 경기를 잘 풀어갔는데
▲ 오랜만에 나와서 생각대로 잘 되지는 않았다. 상황에 맞춰 가려고 했는데 오늘은 캐리어가 좋겠구나 하는 생각으로 경기를 마무리했다.
- 그 동안 왜 부진했을까
▲ 내가 못한 것도 있고 게임이 잘 안된 것도 있다. 꾸준히 연습하고 있던 중 오늘 기회를 잡았는데 앞으로 잘 이길 수 있도록 하겠다.
- 지난 얘기지만 위너스 결승 이후 아쉬웠을 것 같다
▲ 그 때는 정말 최악이었다. 위치도 그렇고 로드런너 패치 전이라서 자원도 잘 안 모이고 그랬는데 정말 억지로 전략을 시도했다. 가로나 세로였으면 정말 빨랐을 것이다. 영호랑 친해서 얘기하는 건데 영호가 운이 좋은 것 같다.(웃음) 예전부터 영호를 아는 사람은 다들 우승할 거라고 생각했는데 요즘 실제로 그렇게 됐더라. 포스가 엄청나다.
- MBC게임 프로토스가 약하다는 평가에 대해 어떻게 생각하나
▲ 예전부터 많이 했던 말인데 재훈이형이 연습 때는 정말 잘한다. 이제부터는 그런 말이 나오지 않도록 누가 나와도 이길 수 있도록 노력하겠다.
- 남은 경기 각오가 있다면
▲ 이제 4라운드 첫 승을 했는데 앞으로 출전하면 무조건 이길 수 있도록 하겠고 연패를 끊은 만큼 앞으로 연승을 달렸으면 좋겠다. MBC게임 히어로 파이팅!

Q: How do you feel about ending the team’s losing streak?
A: I wasn’t playing well lately, so I’m happy that we ended both me and my team’s losing streak.
Q: How was your game?
A: Because I’ve been losing so much, I think I lost my calmness in TvP. I lost a lot of the games that I could have won and oddly, I was playing badly in televised matches. I think I was able to win today because I kept thinking that I can’t afford to lose this one as well. In the world of professionals, the taste of victory seems very important. Now that I ended my losing streak and have tasted the victory, I will show my former self again.
Q: You seem strong against the Air Force
A: Nothing is especially different. They are progamers as well, so I believe that they are a formidable team.
Q: You gave Coach Ha his 100th victory
A: Luckily, I’m happy that today was the Teacher’s Day. I hope we can give him his 200th victory as well.
Q: How are you during practice and such?
A: Even when I do well in practice, I regretted not being able to show my best performance in televised matches but the team wasn’t in a negative atmosphere overall. Although we slumped in R4, I didn’t worry about it that much and we will raise it back up in R5.
Q: How do you feel about
Flash’s dual leagues?A: I’m amazed whenever I see him play. He seems so good and I think to myself that I have to catch up to him, but I still think that the difference in our skills is huge. I hope he does well in both leagues.
Q: Anything else?
A: Although I haven’t visited any of my teachers during Teacher’s Days, I still remember all of them so I want to thank them and I will make sure to visit them in the future.

- 팀의 연패를 끊은 소감은
▲ 그 동안 경기력이 좋지 않았는데 팀의 연패도 끊고 내 연패도 끊어서 좋다.
- 경기는 어땠나
▲ 요즘 너무 많이 지다 보니까 프로토스전에서 침착함을 많이 잃어버린 것 같다. 이길 수 있는 경기를 많이 놓쳤었는데 이상하게 방송에서만 잘 안 되더라. 오늘도 경기 도중에 지면 안 된다는 생각을 많이 해서 이길 수 있었던 것 같다. 프로의 세계에서는 승리의 맛이 굉장히 중요한 것 같다. 이제 연패를 끊어냈고 승리를 다시 맛봤으니까 앞으로 멋진 모습 보여드리겠다.
- 공군에게 특히 강한 모습인데
▲ 특별히 다른 것은 없다. 똑 같은 프로게이머이기 때문에 별 차이 없고 공군도 충분히 강하다고 생각한다.
- 하태기 감독의 100승 달성을 선물했다
▲ 운 좋게 스승의날이랑 겹쳐서 선물이 된 것 같아서 기분 좋다. 앞으로 200승까지도 잘 하셨으면 좋겠다.
- 연습이라든지 근황은 어떤지
▲ 연습 때 잘해도 방송에서 내 경기력을 보여주지 못해서 아쉬웠고 연패 중이었지만 팀 분위기는 나쁘지 않았다. 4라운드 때 부진하긴 했지만 별로 걱정하지는 않고 있고 5라운드에서 컨디션을 끌어 올릴 것이다.
- 이영호의 양대 결승을 보면서 어땠나
▲ 보면서 감탄을 많이 한다. 너무 잘하는 것 같고 나도 얼른 따라잡아야겠다는 생각도 하고 있지만 아직 격차가 큰 것 같다. 영호가 양대 결승에서 좋은 결과 거뒀으면 좋겠다.
- 하고 싶은 말이 있다면
▲ 스승의 날인데 여태껏 스승님들을 찾아 뵌 적은 없는데 그래도 모든 선생님들을 기억하고 있기 때문에 늘 감사 드린다는 말씀을 드리고 싶고 나중에 꼭 찾아 뵙겠다는 말씀을 드리고 싶다.
