“I have to advance to a higher place”



Q: You returned after 2 seasons, and it’s your 5th career MSL qualification
A: I still have yet to go to higher rounds in MSL. This time, I want to advance to at least Ro16 and I think I can do it as long as there is no team-kill.

Q: How was your game against Notice?
A: Recently, I’ve been playing a lot of Terrans, and 14CC seemed like such a good build. So far, I’ve been too timid to use a strategy like that, but I felt very good after successfully using a risky strategy.

Q: Your game against free was a long game
A: I honestly couldn’t practice a lot on Match Point. Therefore, I copied the build that HiyA used on BeSt last time. I was supposed to push after securing the mineral-only expansion, but because I got damaged a lot by the Reaver, I had to split the map. I usually don’t like this style of game, but I couldn’t help it in order to win this time.

Q: You’ve qualified in both leagues
A: I set my personal standard as qualifying for both leagues, so I don’t feel proud or anything. Instead, I must advance to a higher place. There are so many good Terrans lately, so I have to do even better to be noticed.

Q: Your goal and resolution for this MSL
A: I think it’s too early to state a huge goal. For now, I want to be seeded by advancing to Ro8.

Q: Anything else?
A: Because Proleague was tomorrow, I couldn’t practice a lot for today, but my teammates helped me a lot despite the fact that we could only play a few games. I think a lot of my teammates will advance to MSL this season and I hope no one meets each other and advance higher. Lastly, I’m going to be the starter for our game against Hite Sparkyz, so I hope you all cheer for me.

“I want to play games without regrets in this MSL”



Q: Your feelings on returning to MSL after 2 seasons
A: My condition was alright for the games, but I regret losing my game against fantasy because I had the advantage.

Q: Why do you think you lost?
A: Normally in practice, if I’m in such a good position, I recall a lot more, but in this game I faced his army head-to-head too many times and got damaged quite a lot. In addition, I got EMPed at the worst timings. I realized from this game that Fantasy is really good at blocking recalls. There were always units at the places where I wanted to recall.

Q: Did the loss affect your next game?
A: I couldn’t practice a lot in Odd Eye, but I had already planned out build orders against Zergs and Terrans so I believed that I could advance.

Q: You completely defeated Saint twice
A: I had originally planned two different builds for the two games, but after thinking about it, MBC players use Hydralisks so well so I was insecure. Before coming to the stadium, I asked Zero to try the build that Saint used on me. However, he broke through me easily, so I realized that if I don’t expand too quickly and stay safe, I thought I could win and that resulted in the sudden build order change. Looking at the results, I think it turned out well.

Q: It’s already your 9th MSL qualification. Your goal must be different
A: A goal is a goal, but in MSL, I haven’t played a lot of games that I liked, so I want to play without regrets this time. That’s my goal for now.

Q: Out of the Six Dragons, only Stork remains to qualify.
A: Although he says himself that he’s not playing well, I believe that he will definitely advance. He is a player who is capable of doing it rather easily. We were both busy recently and as a result I didn’t get to meet him for a while, so I want to see him at the MSL Group Selections.

Q: Anything else?
A: PianO told me before the match that “although I disqualified, you will be able to advance” and gave me confidence. Despite the fact that he was disqualified, I thank him for giving me strong words. In addition, only the strong teams remain for us in the Winner’s League, but we’ll definitely beat them and try hard enough to get into the playoffs.
