She was not comforted by the fact that shadows kept appearing around her house, although she knew it was only the moon behind the moving clouds. Suddenly however, she noticed two horsemen stopped on the ridge in the distance. Nowadays, it was strange for anyone to be out this late at night. Wary that the mafia had returned, dreamflower quickly walked back to her closet and retrieved the most accurate gun she could find, and parked near her window, waiting. Sure enough, the two horsemen began slowly approaching the town. They did not rush across the field, but drifted in and out of the shadows, taking cover from the shadows cast by the clouds. Dreamflower became more nervous, and pointed her gun out the window, waiting for the horsemen to approach. However, she was startled as she noticed a figure walking towards the horsemen. She breathed a sigh of relief when she recognized Qatol. But what was Qatol doing out so late at night? Dreamflower was puzzled, but was snapped back into reality as she noticed the horsemen were only a football field away from her location. Thinking quickly, she decided not to fire a shot, but ran outside to get Qatol to safety. She tried to run in the shadows, but was caught in the middle of the road as the moon pierced through the cloud layer and shone directly on her. The horses neighed, and the first horseman charged dreamflower, spear aimed low at her gut. Dreamflower was blinded from the moonlight that reflected off the horseman, and was a little slow to react. She leaped to the left, and narrowly avoided death. But the second horseman just cackled loudly. Noticing Qatol sneak quietly into the barn to his right, he charged and leaped through the thin walls of the barn, landing straight on Qatol, who died instantly. In a panic, dreamflower ran back into her house to grab her gun, but it was futile. The ground felt moist, and dreamflower slipped as she ran through her front door. The house immediately combusted into flames as a torch flew through the window, igniting the oil-soaked residence. dreamflower’s last thoughts were confusion, for she thought that the torch flew through the window opposite the two horsemen. In this argument I'll only be addressing this paragraph. A look at 789's profile includes the following: A picture of Jesus riding a dinosaur with the sun shining upon him (reflecting upon his head as commonly depicted). I will go as far to link this to the "blinding scene" involved with Dreamflower. Are Mafia not viewed as bad, maybe even evil? Is it so obscure to think that Mafia may be the opposite of light? Depends on how you look at it. In this scenario, I believe the mafia on this horse to be the opposite of light, and opposite of his profile picture. The moon, not the sun, shines upon the rider. The moon, not the sun reflects off him and blinds Dreamflower. Ace could certainly be a candidate here, but that's a discussion for another time. Next, the quote in 789's profile is: ""Tell your assassin to aim for her head, because she has no heart." -random salarian from mass effect 2" Though this is a bit more of a stretch, I believe this may be linked to Dreamflower's need for an accurate gun. Perhaps she wanted the best weapon possible to aim for a nice kill? I won't argue this one further, but I thought it worth mentioning. The last is 789's profile quote: "I can see what you see not— Vision milky, then eyes rot. When you turn, they will be gone, Whispering their hidden song. Then you see what cannot be— Shadows move where light should be. Out of darkness, out of mind, Cast down into the Halls of the Blind. -Diablo 1" When Dreamflower notices Qatol, she is distracted, and drops her guard. When she comes to her senses, she notices that the horseman are 100 yards away. Perhaps they were further, perhaps further, regardless, it wasn't until she had her attention turned that she noticed the true distance of her would-be assailants. She proceeds to journey through the shadows provided by the trees. But, as fate would have it, light appears upon her. But this can't be just a coincidence, if there was light here, shouldn't there be more than one spot? She would have noticed the light before she walked into it. "Shadows move where light should be" Couple these facts together, and I see a case much stronger than anyone else brought up. Reviewing all this, I do believe 789 to be Mafia.

This is suspicious to me. Has anyone else noticed that ? I'm inclined to agree with DrH. This is a pretty big stretch. I say wait until the next set of clues to go near this. Elections end tonight, and we still seem pretty divided. Is this as big a deal as it seems? In previous games, has a Mafia Mayor done a huge amount of damage?

Abstained due to no real clear choice for presidency, and my question about how important a Mayor can be went unanswered, so I reverted to abstain. and really? You're trying to fish some baddies with PM's. Responding to that PM you sent was a no-win, pro-town or Mafia. Why did we lynch Empyrean? Going off of posting habits seems like a real stretch unless there's a hugggeeee difference. I haven't played any previous games, but reading Ver's post about Empyrean's posting habits didn't seem all that drastic. Different, of course, but enough to lynch? Not really. Alas, lynched anyways and a green lays dead. Was Ver wrong, or trying to mislead us? Regardless, I think most agree that Redtooth hanging Empyrean was a mistake for the Townies, if he is indeed supporting them. Awkward collection of thoughts, but the point I'm trying to get across is that my faith in Redtooth as a pro-townie mayor is thin.

Also, pleading ignorance means you're either a very lazy townie, or mafia. Pleading ignorance is a very common mafia defense. Here, you're trying to cast suspicion on both Ver and redtooth, with extremely weak argumentation. Mislead us into lynching a townie? Why would Ver want to do that, if he was mafia? Clearly, a mafia member would've preferred to lynch a mafia from the opposite team. Same goes for redtooth. So why make these weak accusations behind them? Because you're feeling the heat, and want to shift it to someone else. Again, this is scummy behavior; if you make a weak accusation, you're not only diverting attention from yourself and giving the appearance of someone who's contributing, you're also not committing to anything because the accusation is weak. Pardon the swear, but this couldn't be more half-assed. Trying to make yourself sound like the victim whose trust has been violated, who is ignorant of how he should vote and who expresses weak feelings of distrust like an injured deer... I don't buy it. What do you have to say for yourself, MasterDana? Ah, but it is the truth! Being my first game, I really do not know how strong a mayor or pardoner can be. I threw a random vote out, but after seeing someone who I thought to be Mafia vote for the same person, I abstained. Before and after the election, I still have shaky faith in people running for mayor. My main concern about the whole Ver and Redtooth thing is that it was so sudden. We had people who, I believe, to be more convincing Mafia members, but we lynched Empyrean over everybody else. My voting was partially ignorant, but still acceptable in my opinion. I'd rather vote for no one that way I don't feel guilty if they're Red. That's my personal preference. I told you why my faith in Redtooth is small, I'd really hate to repeat myself. I made no accusation against neither Ver nor Redtooth, merely that I just think it was kind of weird. Anything else? <:
