This weekend the next TeamLiquid Arena kicks off with our latest gladiator brave enough to enter the pit with you - the ravenous TeamLiquid public. After such a short break there is something a little bit special about this chapter in the TL-Arena history books as we call to arms
Legionnaire to do battle against all comers. This weekend is changed up a bit with a restructured stream/casting team and new broadcast time of Saturday the 30th of January at 11:00PM PST, which is Sunday the 31st of January at 2:00AM EST / 8:00AM CET / 4:00PM KST.
HuskyTheHusky will be streaming and commentating the games.

Legionnaire Australia's most renowned StarCraft player and undoubtedly its finest Protoss. 'WinkToss' boasts amongst other achievements the record number of reaver kills in a game (57) and one of the first all-kills over Korean pro-team Toona as well as a 3rd place victory in the 2005 WCG.

Unit and Building Restrictions
- No Zealots - Legionnaire cannot use this basic Protoss unit
- No Observers - Vital for Protoss' mobile detection capabilities
- Gateway cap - A maximum of five gateways may be on the map at one time
- Gas cap - Our hero is restricted to only one assimilator during the match
- No Shuttles - A favourite unit of Leg, how will his reaver micro be without his characteristic shuttle?
- No Arbiters - Leg has never been known for his arbiter use, preferring carriers, but will he regret not using them when he had the chance?
Upgrade Restrictions
- No Zealot Legs - Leg's zealots will tend more to amble about and admire the scenery
- No Goon Range - This is a unique handicap as it will hurt both early and late game
- No Psi Storm - Now those shuttles will only have room for reavers
- No Interceptor Upgrade - Now they are only half a free win
Miscellaneous Handicaps
- Give Vision - Legionnaire will surrender vision to his opponent with this handicap
- No Rally Points - No rally points may be set outside the player's base
- Double Tech - Any tech building will have to be built twice before it can be utilised

- TL Submission 2 - The best submissions will be chosen

The TeamLiquid Arena event (or TL-Arena for short) was based on a minigame found in the Gold Saucer, a casino slash entertainment park in the game Final Fantasy 7. Said minigame, called the Arena, would require you to pick one of your characters and fight off 8 monsters. After every victory a slot machine would determine a handicap for the player (e.g. broken weapon, no magic etc). These handicaps would stack, making your character weaker and weaker as he progresses. It required you to defeat all the monsters to win the game.
TeamLiquid Arena invites a prominent player from the StarCraft scene and pitches this player versus several players of a much lower level. After every win, a handicap, picked randomly from a predetermined pool, is assigned to this player and stacks with any previously begotten handicaps. The events are broadcasted and commented live.
