Hey everyone!
So with beta fast approaching, I thought it would be a good idea to try to meet as many of the friendly/mannered people who will be participating as possible.
So I'm just looking for people who are currently active on ICCup and have an SC2 beta key.
I think it would be really cool if we could form a small community to test builds and timings with in the opening weeks of beta.
It is fully possible to figure out what zerg openers are safe against a 6racks by oneself but it takes longer and it's not nearly as fun. Some of the best times in SC comes from theorycrafting with others and figuring things out.
So, if you are interested in making some contacts just post your ICCup account below and I'll edit them into a list here that you can /f a. Also feel free to PM me your msn if you want.
I'll go first and include some extra stuff that you guys can omit if you want to.

Rank: If I practiced a lot and shapened up I could probably get C-. As it is I haven't played vanilla sc seriously in like eight years. So D at best atm even though I have a decent understanding of the game. My multitasking is just so bad.
Planned hrs/day during beta: This will wholly depend on how good the beta is. I do plan to make some high-definition (1920x1200) videos with commentation and such but it's the editor I'm going to be really gutting into.
No life nerd: I step out of the house maybe once every 3-4 months.

If things go well I'll be getting one (cc campaign contest, I assisted the #1 winner, but Blizzard hasn't sent us the keys yet). But I have never once signed onto iccup and I don't plan to be doing a large amount of ladderish gaming, just checking the editor and trying to stress the game to its limits and stuff like that. Basically feeling my way around. I'll probably be playing a lot more with any friends/CC community members more than strangers.
Anyways I'm pretty bored these days so if you ever want to chat about modding or something I'd be open.

I've been asking how this forum will change once the beta is released in the general SC2 thread, but I don't think I've seen any answers. If there really aren't any chat channels during beta it will definitely be a different experience when it comes to finding new friends to play with. It definitely looks like we're going to need a constantly updated list of beta players the way we do with some other threads on these forums.
I'll be no-life nerding it up during beta, but I'm mostly concerned with finding someone to mess around with and test everything out on day 1 (like a non-hostile team melee with all races if possible). Name will probably be Sagacity.

I looked like an ass when I made a post like this back in november about "What are you doing to prepare for beta?"
While I have a significant amount of vacation time since it's the new year, now I can't use it because our corporation is going through a major merger. Damnit Blizzard! All I'm hoping for now is that they give us the courtesy of a week or so notice so that I can plan to get as much time as possible into the beta.

I'm going to be testing as much builds as possible, I love making new builds so I will try to make some real tricky shit that people don't know how to beat! I don't have a key ATM but I will most likely get one by the time the beta hits.

Things are going to change pretty fast early on in the beta. Who knows what they'll do, changing larvae timings and amounts, build times and costs, and maybe even moving entire units around. It stands to reason that the early units are the ones most likely to be changed for balance reasons because they'll get the most testing.
I'm in the beta, but I'll probably skip theory crafting in any real form and go straight into the game rather than try to design builds on an ever changing foundation.
