A Southern California woman was in jail Wednesday after allegedly drugging her husband, cutting off his penis, throwing it into the garbage disposal and turning it on, Orange County police said.
Catherine Kieu Becker put a drug or poison in her husband's dinner Monday evening to make him sleepy, according to the initial police investigation.
"The victim went to lie down and he woke up tied to the bed with his wife tugging his clothes off," police said. "The suspect grabbed the victim's penis and cut it off."
Becker told police he "deserved it" when they arrived at the scene after she called 911, the police report said. The couple is going through a divorce.
Becker, 48, was arrested for aggravated mayhem, false imprisonment, assault with a deadly weapon, administering a drug with intent to commit a felony, poisoning, and spousal abuse. She was booked into the Orange County Jail.
The 51-year-old victim, who hasn't been identified because he is an alleged victim of spousal abuse, underwent emergency surgery at the UCI Medical Center, police said.

“I don’t know the circumstances,” host Sharon Osbourne said. “However, I do think it’s quite fabulous.” What sounded like the entire audience began to laugh.
The other panelists — Leah Remini, Julie Chen, Holly Robinson Peete and Sara Gilbert — didn’t revel in the story quite as much. But all of the hosts let out at least a small chuckle during the conversation.
Gilbert pointed out that the conversation could be perceived as sexist. “Not to be a total buzz kill,” Gilbert began, “but it is a little bit sexist. If somebody cut a woman’s breast off, nobody would be sitting laughing.”
“It’s different,” Osbourne said, before comparing the two parts of the anatomy.
The segment was posted to Reddit, and from there was picked up by the blogosphere. Several blogs, including, “No, Seriously, What About Teh Menz,” has asked readers to write to CBS to show their displeasure.
Monday’s “The Talk” hasn’t aired yet, so it’s not clear if the panelists will address the backlash on the show. We have reached out to CBS for comment and will update if we get one.

This isn't a typical domestic violence case -- it was way over the top."
