In a purely anecdotal sense, I've been bombarded by feminist flyers, billboards, and rallies that maintain that a joke about rape is never acceptable (which I more or less agree with honestly), and yet mainstream, female targeted culture (we're talking daytime phucking television here) literally laughs about a male castration. This disparity boggles my mind at the very least, and at the most says some terrible things about gender relations. I'm not offended, I just like to call bullshit when I see it.

It in itself isn't funny but that does not mean that it is impossible for there to be funny jokes about it.

The issue here isn't that "OH NO WE ARE SO OFFENDED." It's the fact that if a man did something like this to a woman and some guy on a radio show laughed about it, he would be instantly fired and ridiculed all over national television for days, forced to apologize before never being hired in media again.
