This is unfortunate but most likely a product of the security that players have experienced in their top positions and the winter break having passed. But the break is now over! I expect ALL players to remain active and take an example from users [RSL]Uppercut and [RSL]Seacoast who have been online and active almost every day despite the dearth of players! However, there is a solution in sight. This is going to hopefully revitalize your interest in the league, because this will [b]greatly affect placement on the ladder, and thus eligibility for the tournament. Without further ado, I'd like to introduce: ** DAILY TOURS ** These tournaments will begin tomorrow. The point prizes have been increased: 2 wins vs. [RSL]Points or Points2 on MotW for first place 2 wins, 1 loss for second place on MotW 1 win, 1 loss for first place on MotW There will be one every day that I am available (which is most days right now) at a different (randomly-generated) time of the day in order to cover all timezones as evenly as possible. There will be at least ~24 hour notification before each tournament, so you can plan ahead to attend! DAY 26 EVENT Today's random event is "4. Random potential caster for tournament main revealed" So without further ado... The caster to be revealed today is number 2: sGs.LMaster // L_Master@Teamliquid Main Race:  Regular in DR tournaments Consistent caster Channel link: http://www.twitch.tv/L_Master/ I'm very excited about this caster being potentially available to cast games during the tournament. He has a high-energy approach to casting, with a great mastery of the English language and clean enunciation, with occasional funny konglish-sounding pronounciations like 'plaguuuuuu' and 'probu'. Big pre-emptive thanks to L_Master! Also I want to congratulate [RSL]Seacoast for his win by default in [RSL] Tour #02. One free win vs. [RSL]Points on MotW will be awarded to him. So far the tours have helped some people a lot! But I think there is something else that can be done, that would potentially improve the main tournament as well. Therefore, I have decided to change the format of the tournament: SEEDS BASED ON LADDER POSITION WILL NOW BE USED IN DETERMINING THE INITIAL BRACKETS OF THE MAIN TOURNAMENT! If that doesn't encourage activity, I don't know what does ^^; One bit of relevant information is this: you can't just check to see if people are online by checking the channel! Players have told me that they like to play on their main alias while checking the channel through chat commands to see if there are people online. This will not work so well! Why? Because 1. People could already be in RSL games of their own, 2. People could be signing on, seeing no one, and promptly leaving, therefore depriving you both of gametime, 3. Players such as [RSL]Uppercut often play 2v2 or UMS while waiting for others to sign on. So what does this mean? I suggest that you also play 2v2 or UMS while waiting for games ^-^; I'm sure we can get some games that way! GL HF! | ||
