This show has been mentioned before. The games they are re-casting are all from Gom Classics (last I checked), not any of the recent matches.

The only thing i can see that would cause this situation is tasteless wanting to cast and promote BW but Gretech telling him he can cast but not promote BW because it hurts SC2.

Obviously there would have been more posts if more people were interested in the show back then. But since the title of the thread wasn't "Tasteless casting BW" and SC2 hadn't been released yet, most people didn't bother posting in it.

no seriously, it's just that arirang is a very low viewer channel, they don't even market themselves as having a games section, and they're doing really, really old games.

This is exactly why the show will most likely be cancelled. Everyone complains about not knowing, but when it comes to action to save the show, no one actually does anything about it. Only 2 posts there to show arirang that people are watching.

Whatever the reasons may be it's pretty sad that Tasteless can give shoutouts to Street Fighter tournaments during the GSL finals but can't even mention something he's directly involved with. I feel like these "behind the scenes" kind of issues are the biggest thing causing friction between the BW and SC2 communities.

No offense, but if the people making the show cannot be bothered to let the biggest community know about it, why should it be on our shoulders to "save the show". Obviously Tasteless isn't going to post about it, but what about you? Why is it someone else had to find it?
Anyway, the idea of recasting four year old games is ridiculous to me. Surely you have enough connection in the scene to get two players together for a showmatch or at least some newer games.

I have put forward the idea of casting top foreigner games. I'm even casting a set of pretty sick showmatches next week- it would be so easy to forward these guys some replays.

Holy shit. I (brace for it) didn't know at all about this. I'll be sure to check out VODs. Tasteless was a great commentator and he knew the game so well. It'd be great to see him doing what he does best.
