Hopefully some other players come in and give their thoughts about the game, but for now:

GreY's Brief Musings

Up until the late mid and the Late game both Town and Mafia played fairly well i feel, especially for a newbie game. Probulous did very well playing a DT the way it should be played. He choose to lead the town instead of lurking and trying to protect his blue role. this way when he got the red check on sheth, he had enough of a pull in the town to get him lynched without having to out himself as a DT.

The Mafia were very wise hiding their Roleblocks, and did an exceptional job all around. They played off each other from the very start, so when probulous got his red check on sheth, cephiro was able to become "Confirmed town" by pushing him immediatly, as he had already done day 1.

Some of the inactivity and forced replacements certainly did not help town, but in the end I feel like it managed to not effect the game that badly.

The big turning point where I was sure the mafia was going to win was day3, during the Blurry lynch. While claiming at that time certainly was the incorrect choice, the town also made bad choice choice in lynching him that day. That whole situation is pretty suckish, but we all learned something about claiming.

I will talk more in depth about other players and events in a bit, but for now I would like to thank my Cohost Risk.Nuke for his tremendous help during this game, as well as all my coaches for helping me out.

Another thing I saw during this game was the focusing on people for switching their votes and "scummy actions" and "scumslips." While Mafia scumslip sometimes, town scumslip just as much in my experience. One thing I noticed in this game was that the majority of the case on paperscraps and CatsnHats was based on them being indecisive and switching votes. The key to finding mafia is not to care about what people say or do, but how they do it. Sometimes the smartest thing you can do is to swap your vote off someone when you relize there is not enough evidence to kill them, or if you find a better target. the key is to always give reasoning and to be confident. Remember that scum often dont have a reason to be wishy washy when voting, they know exactly who they can vote for. its town that has to use reasoning and find things out.

Also, considering the final day, One of the keys to surviving an lylo situation is to take a step back, and instead of diving into each person's posting and analysis, just take a broad look at their actions and interactions with others in the game. Usally you will find something that doesnt quite fit. Take cephiro on the last day for example. When asked about lynching gonzaw, he said his reasoning will be coming shortly, yet he posts a SUUUUPPPEER long thing on cats before even coming around to gonzaw. and by that time it is basically time for the game to be over. its subtle, but you can sense a reluctance to lynch gonzaw in his posting, even when he says he is fine lynching him.

Thank you for hosting the game, it was definitely a lot of fun. Will certainly play in the future, but most likely not in the next few weeks, a break is good + got some irl stuff coming up.

Jitsu wins the Observer betting show I feel, in very close second place in Tunkeg and Blazinghand.

Probulous I feel should win Town MVP

the Scumteam awards are hard, as they all functioned like a unit. But i have to give the scum MVP award to Cephiro, for somehow becoming confirmed town after almost getting lynched day 1.

Gonzaw should be commended for spreading emotion in the thread for the last two days, and Sheth also needs some sort of award for the way he died in this game. As he was getting lynched, he was throwing so much nonsense around that the town was sort of put into a state of continuous chaos, he also allowed cephiro to emerge with town cred.

The start was so hilarious since at first I think I was doing well. Then I was like.... FFUUUU....

But since I chose to not read guides but learn the game by playing, Probu's first-day case on me actually helped my play a lot.

I realized why pressuring people is much more important than finding town reads, a knowledge that I used to try to confirm myself as a townie later on.

It's too bad there were some inactives affecting the result slightly, but it was a really enjoyable game indeed.

It was also a lot of fun to read the observer QT afterwards.
