I'm fairly convinced Comcast throttles streaming video sites. On Comcast here and doing just fine :D Could be a regional thing maybe? I'm in the DMV (DC/MD/Virginia) corridor. I've had great service for years though, so no surprise for me.

Trying to watch the VODs from day1 on NASL, I am getting a lot of lag, so much that it is unwatchable. Seems this is a justin.tv issue?

No one else really brought up the issue but I guess other people have experienced this. that fits however until justin.tv responds to the 4 page 2000+ view thread that i posted a month ago on their help forums, that can't be explored -_-

Alright, confirmed today that this is happening on my desktop (Windows 7), laptop (Windows 7), and netbook (Windows XP SP3), in Firefox 4, Firefox 3.6, and Chrome. Also happening on multiple different networks (a wired, and 2 different wireless networks that are on different backbones and ~2 miles apart). They're all high speed networks that I get >8 Mbps down on. So, this isn't me. I have a few friends who are also having tons of trouble viewing JTV streams at any quality, so I'm wondering what the heck is going on here. Something change recently with JTV's servers/streaming service? An official comment would be nice. so the problem exists even on different connections

Me and my friend both get very poor connections to justin.tv occasionally, but never encounter problems from the other sites. Both using 100Mbit lines.

Sometimes individual ISPs (or even parts of individual ISPs) are going through a bad route to us and we can fix that. emmett@justin.tv email sent, i look forward to your reply, thanks

lag issues i know this wont work for everyone , but its a handy tip ive been using here on jtv for a very long time and yes its helped a number of viewers on a number of streams right click on the video ,click settings , click the centre "file" icon n slide memory bar to unlimited then close at the very least it helps minimise lag and in some cases gets rid of it i find hoping it works for someone as well as it does me -spender252, Junior Member I'm almost afraid to post this, worrying that the problems will start up again in 5 mins. Still, the stream went from unwatchable at 240p to smooth at 720p as soon as I tried this. :S
