Morrow had room to do all those drops and stuff because he was able to get 95 drones before Socke reached 60, and he never stopped probe production. Common sense says that if both players are left alone, neither has an advantage, but this isn't the case against zerg. Protoss has to do damage before zerg macro kicks in. However zergs have gotten amazing at stopping 2 base pressure, and 1 base pressure is usually all-in. Really want to see if Protoss can figure out how to beat this ling/bane/infestor play in the coming months. My guess is that zerg will have to be nerfed somehow, or protoss buffed vs this strat, this seems way too strong. Any other zerg style seems pretty balanced vs protoss, maybe a little protoss favored, but this... I think a little bit has to do with maps getting a lot bigger and warpgate timing being delayed. Zerg just doesn't have to worry about 4 gate anymore. I think it has more to do with the fungal since protoss can't do anything at all once they get fungal'd and the banelings are coming at ya.

Against foreigners maybe, koreans deal with this in soo many zvt's on the ladder Although you hardly ever see korean zergs do this anymore so maybe he thought he would catch nada off guard. I wouldnt be surprised if morrow did the same strat again, its pretty much the only build ive ever seen him win with in zvt.
