As a spectator more than anything, I like the idea, but in practice fast Colossus is still very strong in some matchups.

I don't know how many time's ive seen fast colossus kill a protoss because he got them too early, with too few units. On the other hand, I've never seen a player die to delaying the colossus in favor or a more meaty army.
And honestly, all of the pro's and high level players respect day9 and listen to his advice. (even huk said that day9 is the only caster he would take advice from.) He helped huk, incontrol, and many other high level players with their game. Still, some cling to the old ways, which do work more times then naught. But colossus need to end the game on 2base, or atleast create an amazing advantage, or else you will get steam rolled by an anti colossus army.

Tyler is doing a fast build centered around getting a fast Colossus, I think it's in PvP. It seemed very very strong when I saw it on his stream.

The main issue day9 has is with PvT and fast colossus. With pvp, they get eaten by alot of blink stalker builds if the other player attacks a lot and doesn't let you get out alot of colossus. But, in pvp, they still are viable for sure.

Last podcast was hilarious. Day's completely awkward laughing (totally predicted), Nony's drunken arrogance, iNcontrol's random ranting about soulless horses, and Kennigit's serious discussions with himself while Nony tells him to shut up were all fucking hilarious. I've been listening for about 5 episodes now and each one has had it's own uniqueness while being hugely entertaining as well.
I actually like that they aren't all SC2 all the time, it takes away from some of the monotony. I also like how there are some inside jokes within the commentary about extended series and bashing the foreigners.
I think it's pretty awesome how predictable the flames are, it makes the jokes they tell about TL.net and the random flames in IRC chat even more hilarious.

I'm not talking about the ultra fast FE into colossus or the 1 base specifically. Day9 has called the colossus "a shitty unit" in one of his dailies, he has said that HT is the better choice, he has called stalkers and zealots awesome units, etc.
Every pro protoss out there (including Tyler, BTW, who often gets 1 base colossus) tries to get out of low tech protoss units as quickly as possible because they know those units don't stand the test of time relative to other T1 units.
I agree it would be nice to do a more progressive build, but the low tier protoss units don't cut it as virtually all good protoss players know.
Edit: the root of the problem is that protoss doesn't have a good massable anti-ground unit like marine, marauder, roach, baneling, or may be hydra.

2 Gate Robo for Collosus with maybe an FE(what Day9 was talking about that he hates) is the equivalent, though in my opinion slightly more risky, to 14 Hatch. It's a risk with a big pay off. End of story.

Classic example of taking things out of context, because on the SotG he even said specifically that Collosus were amazing after you've established yourself. Plus even then a pack of vikings just picks off Collosus at will. I like how you speak for all the progamers out there though.
