i went the first day and got to sit pretty far in the front, sitting behind incontrol and his gf. it was fun but the games were SUPER short because of korean domination (it was like 20 minutes of games and 45 minutes of waiting.) The background music after games were super loud (like you're at a club). It would've been nice to have some peace and quiet, but we didn't want to lose our seats lol.

i didn't bother going day 2 or 3 because it was REALLY crowded, and we knew there was no chance of getting seats unless you go super early in the morning. If we had to stand far in the back, there gets a point where it's actually hard to watch the games because the projector was far away.

i got to see mma and mvp play up close when they weren't playing on the main stage though, so that was really cool. how often do you get to see a top korean's fpvod? (besides byun streaming or something). they play so quick but efficient, its amazing

bleachers would've been awesome or something along those lines. sucks for the people who have to stand behind people who are 6'5'' and/or 300 pounds lol

Sundance is a cool guy and gotta give props to him for running MLG so smoothly. Yeah, MLG had some rocky events, but they've been improving each time.

If this is truth Sundance's attitude is the reason MLG success and Xeris (we need his side of the story) is the reason NASL isn't doing so well, they doesn't understand customers and how to run the business.

While it is important to hear what Xeris has to say, there were several witnesses to the event that he moved the stuff off the chairs and then made some comments about how he deserved to sit there.

The crowd was amazingly loud, audible from OUTSIDE the venue when boxer was winning or making key plays (people I was with were taking smoke breaks).

I dunno what the stream did to dull it out, but I do know that if the stream noise comes specifically from only the MICS of the casters, than there's a reason it was so quiet, as day9 and wheat were in a completely separate area from the stage floor (as evident by day9 coming out of a side entrance when he said he'd come out for autographs)

Sounds like the streams used a mic that blocked out a lot of ambient noise. That was a big mistake and I hope they fix that for next MLG. We stream viewers want to hear the crowd!

Also it would be nice if you have crowd interviews during breaks like the ones that Lindsey Sporrer was doing for NASL.

In all honesty, there's not much to do apart from an apology for Xeris to make this better. What really annoys me is that people are starting to build such huge egos over starcraft.

Its not clear in the video that was posted, but Boxer so happy when that gg came. He ripped of his headphones and threw them away in sheer joy. It really was amazing.

Free Dr Pepper. I think I had about 8 of these during the day. Will let you know if I get diabetes. The only problem here was that the size of the bathrooms was in no way relative to the amount of free Dr Pepper being handed out! It was rare to get into the bathroom with less than 5-10 people lining up, which was annoying, but a necessary evil, I guess!

Thanks to the organisers, players and fans! If you met a big, excited, wide-eyed, Australian noob running around on a sugar high at some point on day two, it was probably me.

I think I'm the only one that walked slightly further into the Hilton to use their super nice, completely EMPTY bathrooms with 8 perfectly clean stalls and a ton of urinals compared to the TWO shitty stalls and TWO urinals at the event. There was no way I was waiting in line when Hilton was around a 3 minute walk (took less time to even go there since no line).

Also, to all the seating complaints, I heard they knwe there would be more but are limited to a certain amount of seats for safety reasons/firehazard/etc. Although they should just pack Halo/CoD into a corner or side somewhere and move the 100 total spectators that showed up for those two events combined and used their stages to feature SC2!

Some back story: apparently there is a section of seating in the crowd reserved for players, media, team reps, etc. A redditor's cousin won access to this area through some contest. Upon returning from a bathroom break/whatever they noticed a bald guy sitting in their seats. This bald guy was Sundance. Without knowing, they had asked Sundance to move and he happily obliged, without making it known who he was.

The next time that they get up they decide to leave some personal effects on their seat as a way of indicating that the seat was occupied. I'm told by people that attended MLG that this was fairly common practice. Xeris, when noticing two unoccupied seats, takes it upon himself to displace the items on the seat. When told the purpose of the items he was throwing onto the floor and that those seats were being held for winners of a contest Xeris had this to say, "I won these too ... through hard work."

Really Xeris?

Also "heard his gf say "Like, they don't even know who we are!" which they both evidently found really funny." from the Reddit Thread.

I'm pretty sure the open bracket players wouldn't want people hovering over them while playing their matches.

I think Anaheim was a great event, except for the subpar seating. Even then, I would not have minded it as much if people were allowed to sit on the concrete during day 2 and day 3.

The difficulty was more that players seated on the inside with their monitors facing away were near impossible to watch. There could still be a divider behind the players giving them a decent amount of space like there was at Anaheim while affording the spectators a decent view if it was arranged differently.

I think this is a nice idea. Sure it might not be efficient in space allocation but the convention center definitely had a lot of excess space that could have been utilized.

And btw, I think I am going to get diabetes from all the free Dr. Pepper I drank.

I'm surprised about Xeris, he seems like an intelligent dude (see my sig for inspirational wisdom by him).

The saddest part is i'm not even surprised. Of all the possible people, I could have guessed it would be him. You only have to see his posts on here for a few months to see the type of person he is. Makes me sad, really does.

This is really disappointing. Integrity and manners are really important to me as a consumer, and if this is true then I will distance myself from anything Xeris is involved with(NASL and fnaticMSI).

Are you thinking of Raelcun?

Also, I am waiting pensively for some more info on this Xeris stuff. Seems like the kind of entitlement that needs to be stomped out as quickly as it shows up among the people gaining some fame from this.

Haha Xeris, what a joke. Huge ego for no reason... he's a manager! I remember Fnatic ran out of players to play in the EG Master's Cup and had to play Xeris against CatZ. CatZ basically messed around with Xeris the entire game until he finally decided to win.

Is Xeris the guy who had a part in the most embarrassingly horrible SC2 tournament yet? He must be lying about the "hard work" since it was quite clear that no one put any sort of "hard work" into NASL.

That is a really dick move to pull. I wish the guy who was sitting their would have made a big deal about it, people that act like this will only stop when someone calls them out for it. Thank god that redditor witnessed what happened and shared it with us as the guy who was sitting there was to polite to even say it was xeris. What a dick.
