Guess what? Everyone got their own music taste and it doesn't have to be because someone look a certain way. Before the newly released Wonder Girl album I had maybe 4 of their songs in my playlist while I have 21 AS songs. When I listen to songs I don't care about looks because I can't even see them!
It may be "silly talk" in your opinion but that's quite a ridiculous claim to make.

Well since they were talking about competition...you are not the judge in this, if those 4 were up against eachother 100 times AS would be last in record sales and show wins every time.

No idea why fx is so popular. The only song of theirs I remember liking was that phone advert, Chocolate love. Hilarious name aside, that was a catchy tune that didn't grate my ears. AS on the other hand have knocked out some reasonable tunes. Agree WG and 2ne1 are light years ahead though.

I had an interesting idea for a challenge a while ago, when thinking about Korean music. It just dawned upon me that I could simply ask you to test it.
Here it is : would you be able to find (at least) five music videos from a girl band in which you cannot see a single girl's knee from the beginning to the end ?

being in SME helps. also they perform at Suju concerts which pulls around 90,000 people.

Maybe because 2ne1 hasn't done anything relevant for half a year now, and Fx just released a mini-album? When groups release something new, they obviously get mentions in here, 2ne1 hasn't done anything new for a long time now. Noone fanboys over Fx members when they're in their downtime, they get just as much nonattention as 2ne1.

Quality of music is a matter of taste, besides afaik most of 2NE1's fans are females and we are on a predominately male dominated forum, aside from that I don't think people are listening to this kind of music because it has such a deep intellectual whatever.

fanbase of 2ne1 is mainly 14-18 year old girls inspired by the aura of 'independent chic female' the group presents, so I wouldn't be surprised they're not more popular here. completely different demographics
as for quality of music, that's highly debatable.

So from what I see KMD has mixed feelings about 2NE1...just out of curiousity because their my favourite group and I'm wondering if there is a lack of them in the thread because nobody likes them or its because they have been in active...plus you can't picture dump because they aren't that good looking to kpop standards which I'm guessing is probably a big reason

I like 2ne1's I Am The Best, if only because it was the song to which IU danced on that on Happy Together ep :D
Usually I don't listen to them much, but I can't find anything particularly bad about them, just preference.
