MVP was like this at MLG. completely different than when MMA won; just zero hype or enthusiasm. but at least MVP was won GSLs and is still going strong in Code S. Puma is just another Korean terran. I'm extremely bored of the ones with no charisma, when I can watch people like Slayers Dragon instead. | ||

MC going with 11-Gate. 2:25 Probe sees Puma's base. Blocks the wall-off of second depot. Sees the gas. 3:15 OC complete. No add on on the rax. Fact down. CyberCore finishes. 4:10 Bunker at top of ramp for Puma. Reactor on Rax, Tech Lab on Fact. Nexus at nat for MC. 5:20 1-1-1 for Puma. MC gets 2 more gates and Warpgate Tech. Cloacked Banshees on the way. 6:20 Robo for MC. Nexus finishes. 6:40 2 more rax for Puma. 7:30 Cloak finishes. Obs going to the Terran base. Second Obs making. Banshee coming to Protoss base. The Terran army is in the Protoss base! Just carnage everywhere. 17:20 PDD protecting the Banshees so well. Probes pulled! 18:00 MC microing for his life. Marines running all over the place. 19:00 MC only has probes but more supply. Turrets going up for Puma. +1 Weapons for Bio too. 10:30 Puma floats a fact for scouting. Third CC going up. Medivacs coming out. A single stimmed marine sees everything. 11:30 Puma has a drop floating around. 12:00 Stalkers blink and catch a medivac. Ouch. MC takes his 3rd as well. 13:00 Stalkers blink into the main and picks off raxes and addons! 13:30 Stalkers and zealots all over the terran base, controlling space then retreat. Kills off some production buildings. 14:30 2-2 done for MC. Double forge making for MC. Storm researched! 15:30 Puma going for another CC. Bio marching around the map. Forges chrono-ed. 16:30 Ghosts making. MC takes a 4th but it gets spotted. 3-3 researching for Puma. 17:30 Warp Prism making! Armies poke at the middle. MC tries to take a 4th again. 18:30 Puma takes his 4th. Warp Prism with HTs floating around. 19:00 MC kills Puma's 4th and gets a storm on Puma's army. Puma drops MC's nat but it dies fast. Storm on the drop. Ouch. 20:00 MC takes a 5th and makes canons. EMP misses the Warp Prism. Storm all over the Terran Bio. 20:40 Puma snipes the Warp prism and loses HTs. Massacre all around. Puma's upgrades are so useful and somehow power through MC's army and continues marching forward! 22:00 MC loses so many units and his 4th. 170-130 supply in Puma's favour! 23:00 Storm on Puma, but EMPs all over the Protoss! MC ggs! oGs.MC 0 vs 2 EG.PuMaMC looks pensive. Match 3: Metalopolis + Show Spoiler + oGs.MC 0 vs 2 EG.PuMaPuMa spawns as Red Terran @3MC spawns as Blue Protoss @12:00 Both players opening with gas. 3:00 Probe sees everything. Gets walled into the base. 4:00 Probe sees fact before it dies. 4:30 STARGATE OPENING! 5:10 1-1-1 for Puma. 6:00 Phoenix for MC, Tanks for Puma. 6:30 Wall goes down, probe runs in and sees everything. 7:15 Raven for Puma. 3 Phoenix out. 7:50 Phoenix pick off the Raven. 1 Phoenix sniped. 8:30 3 tanks and a medivac out. More raxes out. Phoenix fly over marines. Blink research. Both 1 base. 9:40 MC ninja expo to 7. 10:20 Dark Shrine up! At this point I went to get food. But basically, MC tries to base race with DTs. Even though Puma doesn't have energy on his Orbitals for Scans, MC fails to snipe the Raven which was heavily protected with tanks and marines. oGs.MC 0 vs 3 EG.PuMaMatch 4: Tal'Darim Altar + Show Spoiler + Match 5: Shakuras Plateau + Show Spoiler + | ||

Take the same armies, the same ghosts, equalize the upgrades (not hard to do, MC learned this lesson against Thorzain) and shove them at any choke and I'll show you a dead terran bioball. 1/1/1 is clearly a different matter, but I hate all ins anyway. | ||

But let's look at new Slayers BFH build against zerg off 2 base into expansion. You can already see signs of zerg figuring out ways to deal with it. Macro hatchery placement, multiple queens to target medivac. | ||

I disagree i think Puma played very well. Those were some scrappy nail biting games . I enjoyed them . I honestly think Puma is the better player and this series even solidified that opinion . I'm glad he is finally overcoming his nervousness issues to show his skills. | ||

Game 2, Puma lost at least 3 drops for no damage AND had an expansion denied. MC lost 1 warp prism with 4 HT (a big loss) and got EMPed a few times (which is almost impossible to not have happen in PvT at that level. It's not that MC didn't make mistakes, it's that the mistakes he made were not as major as Puma yet he still got rolled every game. I am sure all protoss know that a large medivac count with 3-3 MM and not having any storms will just melt any gateway army unless they have like 5 archons or something idk. | ||

MC played even worse and paid the price. I've never seen MC play that badly before. As for the race balance, i'll trust blizzard and the maps to fix that problem. as for personalities. Puma is boring, unattractive, and Disreputable with TSL I don't dislike EG BTW MC: Brash, Bold, Competant player who makes bad mistakes against rival opponents. Perhaps him drinking less soda will help him think more clearly. Who are you going to root for.. obviously the boss Protoss. | ||
