This a little off topic, but before installing BrainClan server, I'd like to know how it compares to the Fish server in terms of features, amount of players, players level, etc. Thanks. | ||

BrainClan has just as much, if not more players than Fish server. Fish server has a lot of hackers, and bad players. Their ladder isn't too great as well. People in the BrainClan ladder require you to use the Mini Launcher (BrainClan's version of anti-hack with the chaos launcher). I find it incredibly skilled. My record is absimal compared to mine on iccup. on ICCUP I have no problem earning C or C+ with a 65 - 70% win ratio, while on BrainClan even achieving C- is a feat in its own. I find many B or A rank players on ICCUP playing even the D and C- ranks on BrainClan. There are much higher skilled players than any other server. | ||

I don't use Vista/Win7 yet, but my guess is that adding Starcraft+BrainLauncher to the DEP exception list should fix the problem too without reducing the security of all programs... Yeah this was a Vista-related issue. Vista is so gay -_- Why is vista gay just because the programmers of brain-launcher are too stupid to respect the execution privilege on memory? What they do is forbidden in earlier versions of windows too, but just not enforced. If you say "This memory may not be executed" and then attempt to do just that, what do you expect? If you want to bash vista at least do it for something where it's Microsofts fault, and not the fault of buggy third party software. | ||
