I gave up on BrainClan server because their launcher is absolute shit. It installs all this additional programs that I have no idea what are they for since they're all in Korean.
But if someone can provide a thorough guide (with pictures!) on how to properly install their launcher without all the bullshit, I might give it another try.
Also, I have no idea about your problem gundam, srry... (except maybe try reinstalling? -.-)

go to the ladder channel. then get games there.
its the 1:1 channel
then u just ask people for games given the rank you have. no one does it iccup style really

Whenever I try to connect to the server, Mini launcher crashes and it says "Starcraft has stopped working." I have windows 7 installed. Has anyone had a similar problem before?

I can't log onto Brainclan. Soon as you click the option on the gateway list, if you hit ok, it gets up to "Loading Profile" and then it crashes BW. No error number or information. Just an APPCRASH. The launcher itself is far superior to iCCup's and includes a variety of learning features that make it just invaluable. It might not suit someone who doesn't speak or read Korean, but its developed for Koreans and hosts some of the highest ranked players in large(r) numbers. I wouldn't downplay this just because you don't understand it.

if you're running vista then i know of the issue. this is how you fix it:
1. right click on your command prompt and select "run as administrator" 2. enter the following and press enter: bcdedit.exe /set {current} nx AlwaysOff 3. restart your computer
you should have no problem connecting now

It turns off Data Protection, This will allow you to log on Brain.

Hi, This a little off topic, but before installing BrainClan server, I'd like to know how it compares to the Fish server in terms of features, amount of players, players level, etc. Thanks.

BrainClan has just as much, if not more players than Fish server. Fish server has a lot of hackers, and bad players. Their ladder isn't too great as well. People in the BrainClan ladder require you to use the Mini Launcher (BrainClan's version of anti-hack with the chaos launcher). I find it incredibly skilled. My record is absimal compared to mine on iccup. on ICCUP I have no problem earning C or C+ with a 65 - 70% win ratio, while on BrainClan even achieving C- is a feat in its own.
I find many B or A rank players on ICCUP playing even the D and C- ranks on BrainClan. There are much higher skilled players than any other server.

Ah thank you so much Caucasian. Yeah this was a Vista-related issue. Vista is so gay -_-

I don't use Vista/Win7 yet, but my guess is that adding Starcraft+BrainLauncher to the DEP exception list should fix the problem too without reducing the security of all programs...
Yeah this was a Vista-related issue. Vista is so gay -_- Why is vista gay just because the programmers of brain-launcher are too stupid to respect the execution privilege on memory? What they do is forbidden in earlier versions of windows too, but just not enforced. If you say "This memory may not be executed" and then attempt to do just that, what do you expect? If you want to bash vista at least do it for something where it's Microsofts fault, and not the fault of buggy third party software.

I have to say, every time I try to connect to either brain server, or brain test server, I get that good old !could not connect to battlenet" blahblah stuff, and I genuinely do not know why. Are foreigners still not allowed on brainclan or something?
Anyone else having this problem?
