Don't give advice which reduces the security of a computer without describing the side-effects. I don't use Vista/Win7 yet, but my guess is that adding Starcraft+BrainLauncher to the DEP exception list should fix the problem too without reducing the security of all programs... it's impossible to add BW to the DEP exception, Windows doesn't let you to do this... | ||

Why is vista gay just because the programmers of brain-launcher are too stupid to respect the execution privilege on memory? What they do is forbidden in earlier versions of windows too, but just not enforced. If you say "This memory may not be executed" and then attempt to do just that, what do you expect? If you want to bash vista at least do it for something where it's Microsofts fault, and not the fault of buggy third party software. Hey man chill out he's just trying to give some advice on how to get around the launcher issue. Everyone knows Vista is gay, doesn't matter what is wrong, just blame it on Vista. Although I appreciate the presentation of a less drastic measure (and I've taken just that), you don't have to get all hopped up because the specifics weren't completely drawn-out. 'Starcraft has stopped working'. I'm using windows 7 starter. On my XP laptop, connecting to brainclan is not a problem. I can only connect to maptest server but not brainclan. Anyone can give advice? | ||

Every time I try to connect I get stuck on "Connecting to fastest server" before it finally gives the usual error message. Can anyone else connect (that has the server)? If so, how may I go about fixing it? | ||

Takes so long to get a ladder game going on ICCup. It is nearly impossible for me to focus train a matchup efficiently cuz not many people join my game :s Since it isn't just me I guess I'll wait until later ~.~ | ||
